Introduction

Welcome to the first Wing report under my command! I'm basically still settling in and getting loads of good advice from everybody, but I can say it looks as if this job will be even more fun than I expected. :)
Now, let's begin!
Wing III News
------------------
- The Wing III Survivor Challenge continues! The eliminated player for the first week(s) is...... LC Sequoh Marden! The voting results were neglected this week, since I'll be leaving the challenge. These are the remaining survivors:

They have currently earned 50 points in total which already is enough for a IS:BR to be awarded to the last survivor! Here is again the list how the final medal will be determinated:
50 pts : Iron Star, Bronze Ribbon
100 pts : Iron Star, Bronze Wings
150 pts : Iron Star, Silver Ribbon
200 pts : Iron Star, Silver Wings
So if the Survivors keep doing as well as in the first round I've no doubt I'll be handing out an IS:SW in the end, but now things will become more difficult - this is the immunity challenge for round 2:
Write a *brief* piece of fiction (not more than 100 words). Every submitted short story is worth 4 points and the player with the best story (judged by me) will gain immunity for this round! Remember that you only have until Sunday, April 15th to get your story to me!
- Wing III monthly Top Gun contest should be restarted next month (maybe even for this month)! If you have a nice mission (does not have to be too complex ;) feel free to send it to me! If I don't get something from you I'll probably do a simple one myself. :)
- Daleth Squadron is currently taking a Combat Readiness Test! It scheduled to end on 11:59 pm on March 15th - all Daleth pilots are ordered to fly FREE-XWA #15 and to send the results to LC Kamprath and me until this date! So far I have one submission.
- You know all WCs need a nice and friendly (= crazy & brutal) assistant to make their lifes and those of their pilots more enjoyable :P, so I'll be searching for someone / something nice - after all the departure of Frank left quite a big vacuum that has to be filled! Until this happy day arrives you have the pleasure of meeting the round end of my Golden Spoon a bit more more often than usually....
- Remember that Wing III meetings are held in #wing_iii on Undernet at 6 pm GMT / 1 pm EST every Sunday. A log of the one from last weekend is attatched. There was a short discussion about computer games, some announcements from me, Dan and Cal. Var did show up as well and in the end we talked about computers and where to buy them. ;)

- Daleth Squadron has a new homepage! You can view it at http://daleth.ehonline.org/.
- CPT Osan'gar is on leave until April 14th. During his absence Hey Squadron is in the hands of LCM Josh Popelka.
- CPT Jahan Kalar recently came back from a slightly extended vacation and has assumed command of Aleth Squadron again.

Misc.

Protect yourself!! Build and AFDB (Aluminium Foil Deflector Beanie) as soon as possible and shield yourself against possible mind control!! You can find very detailed instructions and notes about this subject on: http://zapatopi.net/afdb.html! (discovered by CM Var Zoraan)
It's highly recommend to add one of these to the equipment of every officer in the fleet, since they do not only shield against every kind of "electromagnetic psychotronic mind-control carriers", it also looks very cool and shows that you know how to defend yourself against mental manipulation! :P
Fly your craft slightly above your opponent, and do not forget to look for chasing enemys as you do so!
