Foreword

I have to apologize for my recent absence, I've been very busy in the past couple of days, and I had wanted to wait until after
the first part of the October competition was over until I had received and compiled all the results. More details below.

Wing XIV News

- Re-iteration of the October Comp:

The first part will use the battle TC-XvT 5. Pilots will fly this battle, aiming to score as high as possible, for two weeks. All
pilot files are to be sent to your CMDR, who will in turn send them to me. You have 2 weeks from today to fly this battle.
(10.11.00 to 10.25.00) The high scorer will receive a Palpatine Crescent, 2nd place (and possibly 3rd, depending on how
many entries are received) will receive an Imperial Security Medal. Pilot files are due to me from the CMDRs by
00:00 MST on the 25th of October.

(The first section has concluded... very few entries were received & awarding methods are being reconsidered, more
info to come soon.)

The second part is a bit different. It will involve the two free missions FREE-XvT 10 and FREE-XvT 20. This section will be
based on participation, not high scores. It will also last two weeks, and will start immediately after the first part ends.
(10.25.00 to 11.1.00) There is no incentive for pilots to get a high score, but each squadron member will receive an Imperial
Security Medal if all the members of that squadron fly both of the missions. I won't start counting BSFs for the 2nd part of the
comp until the 25th, so even if you fly it early, theres no benefit to BSF it early.

- SL A-Kon Szu Ra has joined Krayt Squadron!

- The Krayt/Asp Squadron competition has been put on hold until a new Asp CMDR has been selected.

- LT Jigsaw Man has moved to the TC Reserves.

- LT Shady has been declared AWOL.

Viper Squadron News

- LC Guthwulf has stepped down as Viper CMDR. Applications are being taken now to VA Pel and myself (raith@ehnet.org
& palinathas@aol.com)

- LT Red Fox has transferred to Yod Squadron in Wing IV.

Asp Squadron News

- CM Var Zoraan has stepped down as Asp CMDR due to RL concerns.

- The Asp/Krayt Squadron competition has been put on hold until a new Asp CMDR has been selected.

- SL Danest Scopor has been promoted to LT!

Cobra Squadron News

- CM The_Z has returned from his short leave from some computer problems.

- SL Sabath Ra has joined Cobra Squadron.

- CM Jourdain has been awarded an Imperial Security Medal.

Aggressor Strike Force News

- The ASF Vengeance Competition continues, with the XWA portion having already started. This competition is TO approved.

- Avenger Squadron is hosting a 2 vs. 2 Competition Night that begins on the November 3rd, in the channel #EH_ASF.

- The latest battles for Operation Dark Hammer were flown on Wednesday night, my thanks to CM Hawk for hosting. The
ASFteam lost the VSD Iron Sword and DREAD Stone Fortress, with the Goliaths taking no losses.

- Aggressor Strike Force membership at 118.

TIE Corps News

- The Tactical Officer has returned from leave.

- The Flight Officer has returned from leave.

- The TIE Corps Message Center has been updated to include the following:

Special "new locked topic" and "new sticky topic" icons have been added to the LIST and NESTED view modes.

The "DELETE THREAD" feature has been fixed and should be working properly.

A new ban feature has been added for all boards. If the master moderator of a message board wishes to ban a certain
individual, he can do so from the Message Board Administration menu and select the "Ban List" for his board. You can ban
by PIN # and, if your board allows "guests" to post, you can ban by IP # as well.

Miscellaneous

- For Sub Lieutenants - Just complete any one of these 5 things to get a promotion to Lieutenant!

1. Submit your Imperial Navy Pilot Record (INPR) to your Squadron Commander.
2. Participate in any official TIE Corps competition or contest.
3. Fly any official TIE Corps battle, with the exception of free missions, these are located at the TIE Corps Battle Center.
4. Submit EH/TC fiction or graphics.
5. Assist your Squadron Commander with the squadron's homepage or other activities.

Orders/Comments

- Participate in the October competitions! Earn yourselves some medals!

- Join the Intrepid club on http://www.battlestats.com.

- E-mail and help Cadets on the Platform Daedalus; perhaps they will join your squadron.
