WC/MAJ Proton reporting on 11-25-00 for Wing V aboard the SSSD Sovereign:
WELCOME
- Jaded Strumpet hastily punched notes into a datapad as MAJ Proton shouted instructions. Candyland and Snippy held strict attention as the wing commander spouted his commands at them.
"The Wing III commander finally has hired an assistant, and you know what that means," Proton hissed.
Snippy emitted a burst of bleeps and whistles in acknowledgement. The other assistants nodded earnestly.
"Even more work for you three!" Proton spat.
Then the wing commander suddenly relaxed and broke into a sinister grin.
"Frank the psychopathic kung-fu ewok doesn't stand a chance against my terrible trio," he said. "Sasquatch is deluded, as usual."
As Proton resumed his rapid-fire commands, Candyland and Jaded Strumpet nodded nervously and Snippy bobbed and hovered, beeping furiously.
Candyland absently lifted her right hand to her upper left arm, rubbing and scratching an ugly, purple scorpion wound that was healing and scarring badly. Her cheek twitched and right foot wobbled.
Proton continued shouting until the three assistants' datapads were out of memory.

- FA Striker reports that for the Jedi Convention 2001 held in Cologne, Germany next Easter, the Emperor's Hammer is going to provide some demonstration custom missions for some competitions, with little prizes for the winners. The goal of this contest is to select the missions chosen for this event. Missions will be needed for all platforms, TIE Fighter, X-Wing vs TIE Fighter and X-wing Alliance. Due to the "propaganda" nature of the event, only missions of the highest quality will be selected.
Three custom missions per platform will be chosen for single player competitions. In addition, a set of four XvT missions will be selected for a multiplayer contest: these missions can be in either "multiplayer combat" or "multiplayer training" formats, be played in cooperation or face-to-face engagement, but must be balanced for both sides.

BATTLCRY (TIE CORPS NEWSLETTER) FLIGHT CONTEST

Flying Contest
It's time for another Battlecry Flying Contest. From now on, these competitions will be monthly, so keep an eye out for them in every issue.
I will be attempting to get some new, original missions to use in future competitions, but I didn't have time to get any mission designers for this issue, so here are some of the most recent additions to the EH Battle Board for you to have a go at.
As you may be able to see is that the rewards are a fair bit better for this competition. The top awards for the winners of each platform is a BS, with rewards still available to win for 2nd and 3rd place. There are also ISMs up for grabs for the best squadron participation.
I have to admit that the last competition didn't go to plan while collecting on the results. All of the problems that occurred last month have now been corrected, and you can find out how by selecting this paragraph.

How To Submit Your Pilot Files and ID Lines
Send in all pilot files and ID Lines to CPT Werdna Elbee at battlecomp@hotmail.com
Please zip all of the XvT and XWA pilot files, because them files are MASSIVE. If you don't, your submission won't be accepted. Notification will be given if you annoy me this way, so you can rectify your evil ways.
I don't mind unzipped TIE pilot files though, as they are fairly small, but please feel free to zip them too.
Full ID Lines are definitely needed too, so I can count your pilot file to the Squadron competition as well.
Competition Rules
Individual Pilots:
There are three platforms for you to take part in this month, TIE Fighter, X-Wing Vs TIE Fighter, and X-Wing Alliance. For each platform, League Tables will be made showing who placed where depending on the score.
If you come 1st in any platform, you will win a Bronze Scroll (BS), 2nd place will get a Palpatine Crescent (PC), and 3rd Will be awarded an Imperial Security Medal (ISM).
You are not limited to how many platforms you take part in.
Squadrons Participation:
Awards will be given to the top contending TC squadron. This will be decided by how many pilots take part and how many platforms they take part in. If that is a draw, it will then be decided by the pilots placing in the League Tables.
Imperial Security Medals (ISM) will be awarded to all of the pilots who flew for the winning squadron. The squadron will also be highly shown off in these pages as being the best of the best of the best.
Note that participation will have to be great for not just one platform, but all of them. You don't have to get amazing scores, but you do have to take part. I also know that it is biased towards larger squadrons, but that should get you recruiting rather than complaining.
