WELCOME
**The probe droid hovered silently beside the wing commander's desk. It was unnerving to have the droid so close by all the time, but Proton did need the help the droid provided in keeping the wing running smoothly. Especially since his humanoid assistants, Jaded Strumpet and Candyland, still were recuperating from the wounds they suffered in The Pit incident two weeks previously.
"Snippy, summon the commanders of Mem and Nun squadrons," Proton ordered the droid, which instantly whisked away to the squadron quarters.
Proton smiled. Mem and Nun had qualified for the Sovereign League playoffs, and he was awash in confidence that Wing V would make some noise in the upcoming tournament.**

- The Sovereign League 2000 playoffs are soon to begin, with 20 squadrons having qualified, including Wing V's Nun and Mem. Playoffs details are expected to be released imminently by the SL judges.
- Sadhe Squadron vs. Wing II's Kappa Squadron. Flying TC free mission 134, deadline Nov. 13. Go, Sadhe!
- FM/SL Focault/Aylin 1-2 has completed the IWATS HTML 3 course with a score of 100 percent.
- CMDRs Xavier Seinar and Gen Es'mith have returned to full active duty after assorted down time caused by such things as Rebel sabotage of communications systems and a long side trip to Tattoine. ;)

MISCELLANEOUS
- Command Officers now have the option of posting their reports (present and past) online. You can view reports by clicking the EH Officer Reports link on the Nav Bar or going to http://www.tiecorps.org/reports/.
- LC Inkwolf reports that VA Wlodek's Mac/TIE 95 fix approved. As most of the serious crashes come from too many radio messages in the mission, VA Wlodek has prepared a special Battle 13 LFD and a default TFR, so that Mac users may play all battles as Battle 13. Since Battle 13 allows eight missions, with up to 16 messages in each, this should eliminate just about all message-related problems. Mission files must be renamed as Battle 13 missions.

- Platform Daedalus improvements. SA Kawolski reports that the modifications to Platform Daedalus are complete! Previously, Cadets were barred from using the TIE Corps database until after they completed training. This has changed as a Cadet's profile administration now displays a personalized Training Program for them along with their progress. From the welcome letter, they are given their PIN and Password to learn how to use the TIE Corps database from the beginning.
Pilots are shown the entry requirements for their game platform and training company. If the pilot hasn't passed IWATS Core, a link to the IWATS Core site is available. Cadets under 13 years of age can see if their parents have approved their membership status yet. A cadet can request a squadron assignment after all other elements of training are complete.
The Medal of Instruction system has changed slightly with this new system. Only one MoI can be awarded per pilot and it's no longer enough to just refer someone to the tiecorps.org page and abandon them to fare on their own. You have to help your newly recruited person (and make sure they know your PIN #) go through the training process and upon theif assignment with full member status as a Sub-Lieutenant, you will receive your Medal of Instruction.
If you're a Cadet and you don't know what your PIN # is, go to the Personnel Search page and search for your name or e-mail address. Your PIN # will appear next to your name. Your password is what you entered upon filling out the enlistment form. If you forget your password, go to the Password Retrieval page to have your password e-mailed to you. Cadets are no longer barred from using the Password Retrieval form either.

Ladies and gentlemen,
the final results for the last Combat Run, aka #14 (squadron order) are
attached! The results in wing order and the top twelve squadrons are, as
always, posted on the Sovereign's domain.
Congratulations for a (flight) job VERY well done to Sigma Squadron, the
illustrious "Rat Pack" and Tornado Squadron! This year's totals are
305.924.063 points and 2.377 entries... thanks a bunch to ALL pilots for
their participation! The average score of all participating squadrons is:
5.185.154 points.
Qualified for the first playoff round are ALL squadrons above average:
Sigma Squadron, "Rat Pack", Tornado Squadron, Praetorian Squadron,
Teth Squadron, Typhoon Squadron, Tempest Squadron, Omega Squadron,
Psi Squadron, Rho Squadron, Inferno Squadron, Cyclone Squadron, Thunder
Squadron, Nun Squadron, Kappa Squadron, Yod Squadron, Theta Squadron,
Kaph Squadron, Mem Squadron and Gamma Squadron.
By decision of BGCOM/VA Jarak Maldon, Wings VIII, IX, XI and the "Brat Pack"
are removed from the SSSD Sovereign Squadron League 2K roster and won't
participate in the final rounds.
The top eight squadrons in the "green" may take a rest, they're already
qualified for the Quarter Finals (start date November 26th). The remaining 12
squadrons will fly a pre-qualifying from November 12th until November 19th.
Top eight will continue, lowest four will be out! Laserless scoring in
effect, as usual. Details will be announced on Sunday, November 12th.
