WING NEWS:

1) Well, there is some pretty good news this week.. Comp News:

*Sovereign IWATS Competition: Get out there and complete all of the IWATS competitions you can. Visit http://www.imperialacademy.org and find the Courses page. You get 1 point per course taken and the pilot with the most points gets an Iron Star- Gold Ribbon, second place gets an IS-Silver Ribbon, third an IS-Bronze Ribbon. And I get a snazzy title like "Mad Professor", I believe :)
CM Xander Drax/Zayin has completed 6 courses, LCM Avenger/Yod has completed 2.

*Wing IV Fiction Competition: Create a job title for what you do, and write a short job description for me to judge. I'm taking submissions for more than a week and a half still :) I am awarding an Iron-Star Silver Ribbon to the best entry's author, an IS-Bronze Ribbon to second place's.

*Wing I vs. Wing IV: This competition will start as soon as the Tactical Office approves it. Highest total score will determine the winner. The pilot with the highest score will earn an Iron Star- Silver Wings, second place gets an Iron Star-Bronze Wings.

*Teth vs. Praetorian finishes later this week.. I'd like to think that -all- of Teth has submitted their FREE-TIE 149 .tfrs, or will by the due date!

*Zayin vs. Koph has begun as well :)

2) Well.. attendance for the Wing IV Meeting earlier was.. myself and 3 non-Wing IVers, Astin, Raith and MAJ Halcyon of Praetorian :p

3) Umm... coming up, I'll be going on a short leave, from March 20th to the 25th. :)

SHIP/FLEET NEWS:

1) FA Faethor was selected as Grand Master of the Dark Brotherhood.
Vice Admiral Cyric was selected as Aggressor Strike Fleet BattleGroup Commander.
Admiral Havoc was selected as Command Attache to the Flight Officer.
Rear Admiral Woobee was promoted to be Commodore of the ISD Grey Wolf.
LC Ford has been appointed Professor, TIE Tactics.
Again, VA Bolitho was promoted to PREX of the Corporate Divisioin ;)

2) After many months, the EH Ladder is finally online. The ladder features divisions for X-Wing vs TIE Fighter, Jedi Knight and X-Wing Alliance. The ladder is pretty much automated. The only human interaction is the reporting of matches (and signing up, of course). The ladder code takes care of all the score/win/loss/draw incrementing, as well as the ladder displaying code and emailing off the pretty match confirmation emails (which are in colour-coded HTML, to match the colours of each ladder.). 3) Squadron Management 2 has finally made it to the 500 graduate mark. This makes SM/2 the 4th most taken course (only narrowly beating IIC/1 on 496). As you might now, LC Guthwulf/Yod is/was Professor of SM 2 for quite a long time :)

4) As part of the Logistics Office's Project Distant Talon, we are looking for TIE Corps officers who would be interested in working on the history of their ship, wing, or squadron. This is a great way to show your pride! All levels of history are needed, and we'll provide training for you if you're interested but don't know where to start.
