WC/LC Proton reporting on 3-31-01 for Wing V aboard the SSSD Sovereign:

LC Proton trained a blaster on his assistants, Dude, Snippy and Leroy. They quivered and quaked, wondering why they were being so ominously threatened by their boss.
The wing commander motioned with the blaster barrel at the sobbing form of SL Soylent Green in The Cage. "Get him out of there and bring him over, Dude."
The giant Tusken raider shambled away and returned from The Cage with a meaty fist clamped around the shriveled arm of the slovenly SL.
"Sub-lieutenant, attention!" Proton shouted.
The stricken SL staggered into attention beside the three alarmed assistants.
"Now," Proton said, regarding the four with a withering glare. "Get out there into the wing and raise hell. Rattle the bunks. Tip over the cantina tables. Scream. Throw things. Dent the airlock hatch. You get the concept."
The four blanched, blood draining from their faces (well, it was hard to see blood draining from the faces of the Tusken and Leroy the jawa. And in Snippy's case, it was a sudden loss of faceplate lubricating fluid). The WC was asking them to harass Wing V's pilots.
"Uhhhh ..." Dude groaned. "Why, boss?"
Flames shot from the WC's eyes in anger at the Tusken's unusual impertinence. The fire subsided, and Proton told his assistants, "This is an unorthodox measure, of course. But I need to do something odd to get the attention of everyone in the wing. We are soon going to be embarking upon a major whupping of those loudmouths over in Wing II, and we need to be in top form. Wing V pilots have been great bookworms this month for the IWATS contest, but now they need to be transformed into fighting demons again."
Proton paused, and the assistants stood slack-jawed, shuffling their feet.
"GO!" Proton boomed.
The three assistants fled the WC's office, followed by a bewildered SL Soylent Green.

MISCELLANEOUS
- LT Alexandros of Aylin's great proposal for a program to create "enemies" for the EH to increase excitement in the fleet has received a couple of lukewarm "thwacks" in the first responses from the Command Staff. "I am assuming you dealt with the TAC on this?" and "Not at all, and there are several loopholes that would need to be tied up in such a system" were the clipped answers. I'll faint when an enthusiastic flight member gets a "great job" from one of those guys up there. OK, I feel a little better now ... LT Alexandros, keep your chin up, because yours is a good idea. Hopefully the further responses will be a little more enthusiastic in their own right.
- Wing III WC/GN Sasquatch is transferring to the Reserves. Wing V extends best wishes to Sas.
