WING NEWS:
1) Squadron League Round 7 results were announced last night.. Teth and Yod
Squadron achieved 50% participation or higher, with Kaph just under 50%..
Lamed was the Zombie Squadron, with 0 entries, and Cheth had just one..
2) Squadron League Round 8 has been announced!! You must fly FREE-TIE 105
and send me your file (with your CMDR CC:ed) by the 15th of May!! This is
only a single mission, so I'm expecting our number of entries to double..
3) The Kaph vs. Teth squadron competition ended last week on Monday.. Kaph
Squadron defeated Teth with a higher total score.. All participating members
of Kaph will recieve an ISM, except MAJ Reaper who as Kaph's highest scorer
will get a PC. Teth's high scorer, CM Mini Minkus will recieve a PC. All of
these medals will be reccomended just as soon as FA Kramer approves 'em ;)
4) Yod Squadron's competition against Praetorian Squadron has been put on
hold again, as Prae is going through a CMDR change.. However, Yod is having
a competition within itself, with TC-TIE 7 being flown.
5) The "Competition of 5's" in which Wing IV is flying against Wing X and XI
has begun!! Wing IV's five pilots should fly FREE-TIE 76*** (ATTACHED) and
send it to VA Marc spudgeman@h... with me CC:ed by the 10th of
May!! It is imperative all 5 pilots fly (and for high scores at that!).
6) The Wing IV IRC Meeting will be held today, Saturday, May 6th at 7:00 PM
EST in #wing_IV on the Undernet.. Take note of the time change.

7) As far as I can tell, though the Sovereign has been destroyed in Project

SHIP/FLEET NEWS:
1) Fleet Admiral Rapier, Security Officer of the Emperor's Hammer has been
awarded the Medal of Honor.
2) GN Khaine, WC of Wing V has been awarded an Imperial Cross.. Congrats
Khaine!
3) Fleet Admiral Manesh has been awarded the Grand Order of the Emperor
medal.
4) Earning the Distinguished Flying Cross is worth five Combat Rating
points. The database has been updated to reflect this information on
profiles and on the Combat Rating Listings.
5) To comply with the United States' Children's Online Privacy Protection
Act of 2000, Grand Admiral Ronin has ordered that the TIE Corps and all
subgroups must require e-mailed consent from parents of new potential
members that are under 13-years of age.
Effective immediately, all new pilots who are under 13 will be required to
submit a parent's e-mail address upon enlistment on Daedalus. Receiving
verified parental consent will be a requirement to completing training for
all new Cadets under 13-years old. This does not apply to anyone already
enlisted prior to the new additions.
6) Training Officer of the EH, FA Astatine has been promoted to High
Admiral!!

8) GN Wolly, WC of Wing I has stepped down as Flight Officer Assistant and
has been awarded a Gold Star in the process. (FA Kessler is NOT taking
applications for this position).
9) Lieutenant Colonel Corran Horn of Tornado Squadron has been selected to
be the new Fleet Commander's Assistant.
10) Detailed instructions on how to remove the "ILOVEYOU" virus (worm) from
your system have now been posted by the Logistics Officer at
http://www5.ewebcity.com/zsinj/lo/. People have used the ILOVEYOU code to
make newer and potentially more destructive viruses. To keep yourself safe,
do not run or download any attachment with a .VBS extension that appears in
your mailbox! They may all be potentially harmful to your computer!
