WING NEWS:
1) Wing IV IRC Meeting will take place this morning in #Wing_IV, on Undernet at 12:30 PM EST, Saturday the 18th.
2) Squadron League Round 6 was announced, FREE-TIE 91 Mugaari Cargo Operation is due to me by the 31st of March. That mission is attached.
3) Round 5 of the Squadron League finished this week, with Wing IV submitting 14/34 entries for 41% participation.. Decent, but way below what
we're capable of. Get flying for Round 6 ASAP :)
4) Wing IV Muliplayer Events will take place tonight, with Jedi Knight being played at 7:00 PM EST (I believe) in the IRC room #wing_IV. XvT/XWA will
take place tomorrow (Sunday) night, same time, same place.
5) Wing IV has two new squadron pages, Cheth's at http://www.crosswinds.net/~cheth/, and Teth's at http://teth.squadron.org .
I've commended the designers, CPT Demon Yoda and CM Mini Minkus, respectively, with PCs. 7) A Wing IV Honor Guard matchup has ended, with CM Mini Minkus defeating LT Hawky. CM Minkus will be recieving an ISM for his efforts.
8) CM Mini Minkus has been involved in a competition involving him, and LCM Ahkliat of Sword Squadron/Wing IX.. I've learned that CM Minkus has won his
first round match, congratulations to him. Also organized by CM Minkus is a competiton between Teth and Cyclone Squadron.

(Saturday the 18th of March) the Crimson Imperium will be holding its second anniversary. To commemorate the event we intend to hold a gaming session lasting from 11am EST to 10pm EST on our IRC server (details lower down.) It is our hope that you, and several other clubs will be able to attend the event, allowing us to hold a free for all. The Details :
11am - Opening ceremony, initial chat, some games.
12:00 - CI Meeting, speeches
12:30 - 9:00pm - Multi player melee's : XvT, XWA, JK, Quake 2, Quake 3 During this time, we will be holding several RPG (Role Playing Game sessions), details of which will be made public in about 24 hours. We will also release a TIE mission, currently entitled the Gauntlet at the beginning of the day. This mission can be played and the tfr sent to gauntlet@c... by 8pm EST. Scores will be added up, and the winning side will be announced at the end of the day.
10:00pm - Closing ceremony. Winners will be announced. Both in terms of organisation and player per game.
How it works:
Each game will be run in a separate channel - #XvT, #XWA, #JK, #Q2, #Q3. Within each channel, there will be one moderator. The players returning from a match need to message the moderator stating who won, and the score. The moderator will be the final judge on conflicting reports of a mission. If your pilots feel they need to take a screen shot of the battle then these will be accepted as proof of a win.

Officers/Pilots/Cadets are cordially invited to join the league. Leagues will not be segregated by rank, they're all first come, first serve. Order of the Emperor (GoE) Medal.
11) The fifth Training Office competition is gearing up for a restart! Mission 4 is complete and the final mission, number 5, is in the works. Once
Mission 5 is complete, it will be released, along with Shockwave briefings for both missions and a final movie detailing the final confrontation and battle.
For those who aren't familar with the competition, TO Comp 5 details the story of a cadet in extraordinary circumstances. Vice Admiral Kusanagi, director of the elite Starfighter Training division of the Imperial academy, has apparently defected, leaving you to be picked up by the Relentless. Over the course of the missions, you play a part in trying to find out the truth of Kusanagi's disappearance and attempting to find her.
The competition site features a Shockwave Flash introductory "movie", setting the scene, as well as Flash briefings for all missions, voiced by the Executive and Flight Officers. In addition, there are profiles on the characters, a progressing story of events and a soon-to-be added Killboard, listing current Aces for each mission, so you know how far you need to go for that top score.
