WC/LC Proton reporting on 3-10-01 for Wing V aboard the SSSD Sovereign:

Dude gripped the arm of an emaciated, hollow-eyed, slump-backed figure in a battered TIE Corps flight suit. He pulled and pushed the shambling zombie into the office of LC Proton, commander of Wing V.
Proton looked up from his review of the Heavy Rocket Rumble exercise reports and addressed Dude, the huge Tusken raider who served as one of his three assistants.
"Ah, Dude. Thank you. I see you have located SL Soylent Green."
The Tusken grunted in affirmation.
Proton pointed to the corner of his office, at a spot next to The Cage, the WC's personal punishment chamber.
Dude grunted again, loudly this time, and shoved the unfortunate SL with crushing force toward the spot indicated by Proton.
The pathetic figure impacted the wall with an appalling crunching sound. The SL crumpled to the deck, wedged between the bulkhead and the edge of The Cage.
A weak whine escaped the figure's cracked lips. Dude roughly shackled the SL's arm to the outside bars of The Cage.
Proton waved Dude away and summoned another of his assistants, Snippy the probe droid.
"Snippy, file this item on the wing holonet. I want all pilots to know about our new guest," Proton ordered.
The droid twittered and twirled the data into the holonet, then whisked out of the WC's office.
Proton leaned back in The Comfy Chair and regarded SL Soylent Green with a severe yet appreciative glare.
You see, Green was a cheater -- a pilot convicted of falsifying flight data. Such offenses could earn a pilot expulsion from the Emperor's Hammer. Yet, Proton had intercepted the case of this particular unfortunate and had had the convict brought to his office.
This pilot also had committed the grave offense of repeatedly being rude or at least impolite to his fellow pilots and superior officers.
From now on, every time a pilot visited the WC, he or she could not avoid noticing the miserable SL SG in shackles -- a reminder for all that honor was the basic quality of any Wing V pilot.

- Wing V February contest: The Heavy-Rocket Rumble has concluded. I am working on the results. Please be patient -- they will be out soon.
- Wing V March activity. We will be plotting and building a TIE battle. Plot ideas, missions, are being accepted. Participants will be awarded with appropriate medals. Not much interest shown so far, however.

- TAC/AD StarLion reports:
Recently, it has come to my attention that pilots have been simply playing 5/6 of a battle (or X-1/X) and submitting it, saying they skipped the last mission. According with the Tactical Manual, i have issued Tactical Order #001.

Persons having skipped a mission in a battle MUST fill out a legitimate bug report on that battle in order to receive credit for that battle.
If the Tactical Office discovers you are NOT doing so, the BSF's in question will be removed from your record, irregardless of previously completed entries for said battle.

You may not skip more than one mission. You may NOT skip Free Missions. You may NOT skip a mission just because you do not want to fly it.
- XO/SA Kawolski adds:
In addendum to the Tactical Office's order, if you are skipping missions on a regular basis, forcing the Tactical Officer to have to bring up your record again and again to remove battles you didn't fully complete, you will be sent to the HCI on charges of cheating, which results in many steep punishments.
We understand mistakes happen, but repeat offenders who feel they can abuse the system will face the consequences.

EH Advanced Guard
For the past 3 months, I have been secretly working on a new Emperor's Hammer computer game for the PC. After being spurred on by AbsoluteK's plea in one of his Imperial Voice sessions for some EH programmers to get together and work on an EH game, I decided to actually start work on the project secretly, so that I wouldn't get bombarded with requests for help with the game.
I would like to state now, that this project is currently run solely by me, and I will continue to code alone, although I may ask for voiceovers and graphics from various EH members.
The basic look of the game is a cross between Jedi Knight and TIE Fighter. I have already splashed out on £500 for a decent graphics engine, which supports high-res models which are more detailed than XWA.
The game will be processor/RAM hungry, as I want the game to be more fancy than TIE, yet more playable than XWA.
There will be a network option however, and I have a subcontractor (IGE Computing) to do the work for that.
I would also like to mention that the game will be completely free, to avoid copyright infringement, and to keep in the spirit of the EH.
I aim to get a rolling demo out by late April/May. The game itself is scheduled for a 3rd/4th Quarter 2001 release.
