Tap that keg, pop that cork, hit the cantina and enjoy the results of the Sovereign Cantina Drinking Song Writing Competition! GN Compton of Omega Squadron takes home the Iron Star-Gold Ribbon for his "Sov'reign Drinking Song." Read the lyrics and listen to the tune at http://sov.imperialmight.com/drink.html

Congratulations also go to the IS-SR winner, CM Akira Vorsahyer of Theta Squadron, and the winners sharing third-place honors and receiving IS-BRs, MAJ David/Lamed, MAJ JasonHunter/Sadhe, and LT Efherman/Sadhe. Thanks to all other participants! Good job!

6) Imperial Storm Battle ASF vs. ATF
00:46 - VA Pel [Palinathas@aol.com]
On Wednesday, at 1800 Eastern (2300 GMT), elements of the ASF and ATF fleets will do combat for the rights to the planet at 1111-. All available ATF and ASF pilots (including Tau and Avenger Squadrons respectivly) should show up to #Project_Faithful on Undernet at that time. Only 9 turns left in the game, and the Sov team still has a lead, the winner of this battle should end up in position to challenge the Sov.

7) IWATS Squadron Management 3
10:32 - FA Priyum Patel [spellfire@btinternet.com]
The third version of the IWATS Squadron Management Course is now officially out. As I said in my previous reports, this is more of an update rather than a complete rework. This means that there isn't anything significantly new, but there is more information on things like the Fleet Standing Orders, Database procedures and the new CMDR Tour of Duty rule.

The test is not compulsory for present Squadron Commanders but they are highly encouraged to read through the notes. Pilots that were CMDRs in the past and are applying for a CMDR position at some point in the future, do not have to take SM/3, assuming SM/1 or 2 has already been passed.

Please note that the pass mark for the SM/3 test is 80% and copies of transcripts are not kept, unless you mail me beforehand.

8) TCC:XvT Sought
05:25 - VA Marcin [pbmike@go2.pl]
Following resignation of TCC:XvT, I herby open this position for applications: Requirements:

have XvT/BoP and XvT Mission Design Course passed
be familiar with Tactical Database and Tactical Office procedures
have mission design skills and ability to lead team of testers and engineers
no HCI convictions
short email responce time
ability to work under high pressure
high online (IRC) presence (prefered)
member of Tactical Office (prefered)
Email applications to CA:TAC VA Marcin Szydlowski (pbmike@go2.pl) and TAC FA Striker (striker@tiecorps.org). We require hard working people, but we can gruarantee good awards. Title your mail: "I want to be TCC:XvT" and describe your career, former position and why do you want to improve this office.

9) Adjustments to the message boards
00:44 - SA Astatine [jpboyce@indigo.net.au]
In order to reduce the amount of traffic generated by the message boards, I've adjusted the maximum numbers of threads displayed in the list and tree views. Previously the list and tree views had a default limit of 50 and 100. These have now been reduced to 25 and 50 respectively. The benefit of this, of course, is the message lists loading faster for you, as well as freeing up the bandwidth of the site to handle other requests.

10) PROF positions open
23:27 - SA Astatine [jpboyce@indigo.net.au]
The positions of ICQ and Graphics professor are open. The successful application for ICQ should have a high level of practical experience with ICQ, have passed the course and be consistant in marking tests. The successful applicant for Graphics should have experience in a graphics package such as Photoshop, as well as having passed the course and be consistant in marking tests. Graphics applicants must also list the URLs for at least 2 examples of their skill in graphics. Email your applications to jpboyce@indigo.net.au, addressing the criteria and listing 3 references. At least one of the references must be a current superior.

11) Hosts needed!
22:15 - MAJ Kyle Katarn [Kyle.Katarn@isdcolossus.com]
Today I deleted some old hosts still listened in the Comp Calendar. Therefore I now open the application for the Alternate Hosts of the Comps:
