General Information

Well, I’m sure by now everyone has been wondering just which worthy Squadron the WC is going to pick for the “WC’s Own” for the month of April. I have to say it was a VERY tough decision since every Squadron had something to offer up in way of consideration for this honor. However, when reviewing the accomplishments, activity, and recruiting in an overall picture only one Squadron stood out prominently above the others within Wing XIV. I am happy to announce that Copperhead Squadron has been chosen as the “WC’s Own” for April! Congratulations CM Delak Krennel and the pilots of Copperhead! During the month of April there were many people, within and without Wing XIV, trying to convince me to close Copperhead, talking about how it wouldn’t be able to return to activity any time soon, and that the pilots should be spread amongst the other Squadrons in Wing XIV instead. However, VA Brakka and I felt that would be a great mistake, and the last thing the TIE Corps needed was one more abandoned Squadron. Therefore a hard target search was made throughout the ASF and TIE Corps to find an officer that could carry Copperhead into a new era of prosperity and growth, and I’m happy to say that CM Delak Krennel very quickly stepped up and proved that VA Brakka and I were correct in our decision to appoint him as the new CMDR. Delak and LCM Jedi Eclipse have worked very hard to find new and active pilots to fill their ranks, and in the process showed that even the most inactive Squadron should never be counted out. Again, congrats to Copperhead and her fine officers and pilots for a job well done!!

A reminder to our pilots that have joined Wing XIV recently; keep up some type of activity on a regular basis, and you’ll be well rewarded with promotions and medals. Sit idle and you’ll find yourself AWOL’d or asked by your CMDR to transfer to the Reserves. Wing XIV is an active Wing, and together we can show all the other Wings in the Fleet why we’re the best!!

So far the ISD Intrepid and her gallant officers have that we would not just sit idly by and allow the other Ships to blow past us in the ASF-SC IV! To date we have scored more points than the Intrepid has ever seen in previous ASF competitions, and it is with the great efforts exhibited by everyone on this ship that we have carried forward towards the finish line! In light of the fact that we are nearing that finish line, I am putting forth a few competition ideas to help generate some increased activity, as well as medals, during the last two weeks of the ASF-SC IV Competition. I won’t divulge the nature of these competitions, but I want to thank CPT Caltin Doros for bringing these ideas to my attention the other night on mIRC! More info will be coming in my next report, so be sure to stay tuned to this channel for some exciting news!! ;)

Cobra Squadron recently held a Motto and Nickname Competition for the entire Squadron! Here is a list of the winning entries:

New Squadron Motto: We're not looking for trouble...We ARE trouble!
New Squadron Nickname: Lethal Scourge

New Flight I Motto: Be it throat or unbelly, our blades shall find a mark.
New Flight I Nickname: Bombs O'Plenty [Deep Strike]

New Flight II Motto: Kick 'em in the teeth!
New Flight II Nickname: The Cleansing Fire [Assault]

New Flight III Motto: Beware, for we watch you with unblinking eyes.
New Flight III Nickname: Harbingers of Agony [Reconnaissance]

The Aggressor Strike Force website can now be found at http://minos.net/~leeson/index.php.

LT Gistenjunge has been selected to be the new COM Protector based on his activity and dedication to Wing XIV during April! Congrats Gist, VA Brakka will be sending you some special instructions shortly. :P

A reminder to all pilots that you MUST follow the Aggressor Strike Force Battle Group Standard Operating Procedures or your transfer request will be ignored by the FO. The FO recently notified the Flag Officers of the ASF that a small number of pilots had submitted transfer requests without following our guidelines, and that in the future all such requests would be considered invalid unless those guidelines are followed. Also, AD Cyric is also stressing the importance of following these guidelines because it keeps all command staff personnel informed.

CPT Drako has been hard at work this week making some very impressive changes and augmentations to the ISD Intrepid/Wing XIV website! A number of new features are still be added at this time, but for the most part the majority of the site is now up and running fully! You will notice that the site is setup to allow the WC and COM the ability to add News items, plus the site automatically updates the MP Comp list so that you can see when the next MP event is scheduled to be held! I trust everyone in Wing XIV will make use of this site since it will have a LOT of useful information available on it without having to track it down throughout the various TC and EH websites. And again, I want to give a special thanks to CPT Drako for his hard work and dedication to Wing XIV!! J

CMDR’s, for the time being I am going to leave the access to adding News to the Wing website strictly to the WC and COM until CPT Drako has worked out all the bugs and other admin features. That shouldn’t take too much longer, but in the meantime just forward any news that you need posted to me and I’ll be happy to post it on your behalf. :P

According to the roster, Flight III in Asp Squadron is in need of a new FL. If anyone is interested in the position contact CM John Clark (robokiller20@hotmail.com) to apply!

Once again I have searched the roster to ensure that all of our pilots are awarded their CoB’s once they have completed 30 EH missions. CMDR’s, try to keep track of the activity of your newer pilots and notify me when they reach the eligibility for being awarded the Commendation of Bravery. :P
