Wing Commander’s Report #1 for the week ending 09/20/03
Well my first week as WC seems to have gone by pretty fast, full of turmoil and change, always a couple unexpected turn of events. I hope we’ll all have a good time here and keep the Vanguard at the Top as always… Just a reminder, CMDR’s you are to have your Squadron Reports in no later than Friday, I need it so that I can do my reports…
Wing News
CPT Ulath has decided to step down as CMDR of Python and move to that Big Big Squadron on the M/FRG, he will surely be missed by all. If anyone sees him around make sure to buy him a couple beers.

Enough with the bad stuff and on to the good news… I’d like to personally congratulate Drake Jensen on his promotion to Lieutenant Colonel and for the superb activity that Mantis has been putting forth in the past few weeks. Finally, I am happy to announce that a new Wasp Squadron CMDR has been selected……congratulations to CM Coranel Both.
With all these transfers in and out of the wing we have dropped to a total of 48 pilots, which is an all time low for us in this past year. We need to bring our recruitment efforts up and take the Vanguard back to 50+ pilots. We need to remain the biggest and strongest wing in the fleet.
Fleet News
-FA Cyric has been appointed as the new FO, big congrats to him!!!
-The mission compendium/battle centre will be temporarily offline for a short time. Something concerning project shield most likely, I’ll keep you updated on this one.
-Imperial Storm IV should be starting within the next week or so, get ready for this one, its going to be fun!
-Congrats to COL Gidda on his appointment to Wing XIV WC.
-The Advanced Guard is looking for a few more members, they are not a subgroup, its just another job you can have like TCS, TCT etc… The AG is pretty much the diplomatic unit of the EH, they communicate with other clubs, form alliances, set up multi club competition etc… those interested should e-mail RA Astix(astix@gmx.co.uk ) and CC me (n1ghtm4r3@hotmail.com)

Vanguard standing orders
The Standing orders will remain in effect until further notice, I will inform you if there are any changes.
Standing Order #1: (RL) Real Life first!
Of course the first and foremost thing is RL. It is highly recommended to take all RL matters first and before all ship functions, unless you just don't care. I would like to enforce this order to all members. But please be reminded that you should inform your superiors of any situation so that we can count you on LOA, and don't forget to mark your profile stating your on Leave. Even if your only going to be on leave for 2 days, please mark your absence. This way if it takes longer than we know where you are and won't count you as MIA/AWOL.
Standing Order #2: Reports
I expect a Squadron report every week from every Commander on Friday and Squadron MSE's are due on the 1st unless I am told in advance of a RL situation that prevents you from sending one in on time but I do expect it when you return from leave. This will get you removed from command immediately. They must also be uploaded to the database.
Standing Order #3: AWOL's
All AWOL requests must be approved by the WC and the COM before sending them in to the FO. This is not to resurp your command it is to give us the chance of emailing the pilots personally to try and find out their situations and give them one last chance to get back to active status. –As taken from the reports of COL Drax Remlinger
