For the week ending 23 August 2003.
Well my posting to the internet unfriendly outpost
has been yet again. We ARE moving for the job,
but instead of being in a SMALL town we’re heading
for the HQ of Wyoming’s own internet service....
although a threat hangs in the air to move to
such a small town that it was even offered up for sale a few years ago. (No really it was!)
Wing Status -
Recruit!! We are the smallest wing on the
Sovereign. I don’t care if you have to recruit
your mother or your father, or even your brother’s
spider monkey (provided the brother answers its
email). I’m looking into some likely
possibilities on the Phoenix, but don’t hold your
breath.
AND REMEMBER you can offer your assistance to
cadets on the Daedalus...but you can’t outright
recruit them....suggest to them how helpful we are
and how the wing commander likes to supply dancing
girls (ummm or dancing boys or commanders) to
active pilots.
We are finally up to 22 and things continue to
look rather good for the forcast.

The Executive Office is perhaps one of the most
important in the Emperor's Hammer. It covers a
wide range of duties and responsibilities and
requires a large skills base from all staff in the
office.
Executive Office Assistant Alpha
This position will primarily deal with tasks
related to newsletters and the monitoring of
subgroups.
Selection Criteria - Essential
Good written communication skills
An acceptable level of presence in online
media such as IRC, message boards, etc.
Fast email response time
The ability to work with a wide range of
EH personnel
Selection Criterial - Desirable
Demonstrated HTML experience
High speed internet connection
Proven record keeping experience and/or
experience in repetitive tasks
Executive Office Assistant Beta
This position will primarily deal with tasks
relating to the upkeep and maintenance of the TIE
Corps database.
Selection Criteria - Essential
Good written communications skills
An acceptable level of presence in online
media such as IRC, message boards, etc.
Fast email response time
Prior web development experience
Selection Criteria - Desirable
Demonstrated experience with ASP
Demonstrated experience with Access and/or
SQL Server

The Operations Officer is responsible for the
timely awarding of medals within the TIE Corps,
providing consultive feedback on high level medals
and maintaining the Operations Manual and
related materials.
Selection Criteria - Essential
1. Good written communication skills.
2. An acceptable level of presence on online media
such as IRC, message boards, etc.
3. Fast email response time.
4. The ability to work with a wide range of EH
personnel in a diplomatic fashion.
Selection Criteria - Desirable
1. Graphics and/or HTML ability.
2. Prior experience in a similar position.
You must address each criteria with supporting
evidence. Simply saying "Yes, I can do that" will
not be enough. Include specific examples of your
experience. You should meet at least the
essential criteria to be considered for the
position. You will be expected to perform the core
duties of the position to an acceptable level. You
must include at least three (3) references. At
least one of these must be a former or current
superior, preferably current. Ensure you have their
permission first, as your application will be seen
in a negative light if you have not gained their
