- WING NEWS -

Greetings pilots and welcome to another WC report!
Some of you told me that my previous report couldn't display correctly (i.e. black text over black background), this is probably due to the way Netscape handles HTML tags, I hope this report won't have such problems and will be readable on every mail program. Sorry for any inconvenience!

And now let's go on with the Wing News; during the last week there have been two important appointments: CM Zhaim Jifarr is the new Diamondback Squadron Commander and LCM Arid Foxtrot has left Copperhead to become the new Flight II Leader in Krayt, congratulations on your promotions! Unfortunately CM Kettch is still on leave due to serious computer problems, CM Aragon is Cobra A-CMDR but since he can't do BSFs I'll personally take care of them. Cobra pilots, please send me any pilot file you want BSFed and CC Aragon.

Another pilot joined the Snakepit this week! Please give your welcome to LT Bob Canteen. LT Canteen (hehe :p) returned to active service after some months in Reserves and he joined Asp Squadron. Welcome aboard the ASF Flagship!

Medals for August MSE have been approved and it was a pleasure to see my mailbox flooded by your ISMs, PCs and even some BSs! Check out the "Promotions and Medals" section below for a full list of the awarded medals. Moreover, LT Shagen and LT Jay Pliskin have received their Commendation of Bravery and LCM Arid Foxtrot has received another Medal of Instruction. Well done, guys!

The Snakepit MP Ladders are still running but so far I'm a bit disappointed by participation. Rules give everyone the opportunity of winning a IS or a LoC (i.e. Spade is in the lead not because he has won more matches but because he has been the most active pilot) so I'm looking forward to see more of you involved in this competition, even because I created these ladders to be a win-win situation for you: if you play a lot and win you will get LoCs, DFCs and ISs; if you play a lot and lose your superiors will still notice you tried hard and you will be rewarded with a merit medal. Anyway, Round #1 ends Monday and it seems like Spade will be the one winning the first of the 5 IS-BW awarded to be the best pilot of the week in XvT. No one has played for the XWA ladder so everyone flying in these two days will have big chances to get the IS-BW for that division *hint hint*.

Of course the Snakepit Ladders aren't the only important competitions currently on, in fact we have ASF Trivia #13 and ASF Mascot competitions open to all members of ASF while XWA pilots can defend the honor of their club in the XWA WoW LIII or try the thrill of speed in the TIE Corps XWA Racing League, held 24/7 on #ehcoc.
