- WING NEWS -
Greetings pilots and welcome to another Wing report!

Christmas is near and Santa brought many nice gifts to this Wing, during the past weeks we got 3 Bronze Stars, 4 Palpatine Crescents and 8 Imperial Security Medals!  More awards are on their way to the Wing XIV showcase: we are still waiting for the Beer Cup medals and a couple of CoBs. Well done to all medals recipients! Santa also brought a special gift to two of our pilots. Many congratulations to Arid Foxtrot and Zhaim Jifarr on their well deserved promotions to Commander and Captain respectively! Moreover, congratulations to SL Predator on his quick promotion to the rank of Lieutenant. I hope you will pay some drinks to the rest of the ship :-)

Then I am very pleased to announce that Major Daisuke Airyu has left Reserves to join Viper Squadron. Welcome aboard, you chose the right time to join this ship because with all these promos and awards there will be many free drinks for you! However CM Spade has left our Wing to become Inferno CMDR aboard of the ISD Challenge, I wish the best of luck to him! This means there are still 43 pilots in the Wing but fortunately all of them are active and ready to kick some Rebel butts, anyway there should be a couple of pilots joining the Intrepid in the near future.

I'm pleased to see that our new pilots are very active: LCM Hunterwolf has been the most active Officer of the week followed by LT Big Poppa and LT Predator. The WC Commendation of the Week goes to you three along with the usual bottle of Corellian Red Wine, enjoy! On the MP side, our best pilot of the week has ben Major CrimsonFury with 4 LoCs, excellent work!

Three of our four Wing wide competitions will end in three days and you can get medals for all of them (I've received only one completely correct submission for Ship Shapes and Trivia) and Frodo's competition will end the 27th. Take the 5 minutes necessary to participate in each competition, even if you don't win you will make your CMDR happy and you will receive a nice grade in the upcoming December Monthly Wing Evaluation. Another good way to gain glory and fame is to participate in the XvT WoW (week of War) currently running on the Zone, if you can play XvT Multiplayer signup at Battlestats (http://www.battlestats.com/) and then fly alone or with other TCers against enemy Clubs. A Legion of Combat (LoC) is awarded for every win and the three best ASF pilots will receive IS-GW, IS-SW and IS-BW medals.

Message Boards Back Online

If you haven't already done so, please register an ELS handle as you'll need one to post on the modified boards. A statement regarding the board downtime, as well as board creation request procedures, is located at the main Emperor's Hammer board.

The COM needs a ship

Medals to be awarded:  IS-SR for top submissions, IS-BR for the runner up

Details: The pilots of the ISD-II Intrepid are to design a ship for the Commodore. They have to name it, and supply a GFX of it, they can play with color, shape, they can invent a ship if they want, modify an existant ship, anything goes! Send submissions to COM/VA Frodo March.

Ship Shapes

End Date: 12/23/2003
Medals to be awarded:  IS-SR for top submissions, IS-BR for the runner up

Details: try to identify as many ships as you can (remember: ships AREN'T scaled!!!) The two pilots who recognize most ships in the least time win the medals. Send your submissions to ehgidda@tiscalinet.it with the subject "Ship Shapes". In case you haven't received the mail with the ship pics, contact your Squadron CMDR (mail or IRC).
