Week Ending January 12th 2003
LC Khaen
- A veritable swag of
medals has gone out to Wing XVIII this week, for our great performance in
COM's Judgment last month, and several people passing thresholds in BGCOM
Tiger's "FCHG = Medals" program. Good work, everybody!

- MAJ Dei has had to retire
Rage CMDR abruptly due to the increasing threat of war. Being a military
man, he just doesn't know when he'll be called up for duty, so he thought
it best to leave the spot. Good luck in wherever this crazy world takes
you, Dei.
I am not accepting any more Rage CMDR applications at this stage, as I've
been inundated already.

| - The Tactical Officer (AD
Mike) is looking for new XWA testers/engineers for his staff. I know most
of our pilots fly XWA, so if you're interested give him a buzz at pbmike@klub.chip.pl.
And for those pilots who are still living in the past (like me), the TAC
and SCO are looking for TIECD users to help them with something or other.
If you fit the bill, email them both. |

STALKER SQUADRON
"New Year Flying Competition" at http://www.emperorshammer.net/competitions/details.asp?ID=149.
-WC's Note: An interesting competition. Stalker pilots have from
January 1st-15th to fly TIE-TC 35, XvT-TC 17 and XWA-TC 31. The highest
total score, including all three platforms, wins an Iron Star w/ Bronze
Wings (IS-BW). I guess this one's for the truly multipurpose pilot ;P

-Each pilot in Stalker Squadron
is allowed to challenge other pilots in the squadron. The challenged pilot
is allowed to choose the platform (TIE, XvT or XWA). The Squadron
Commander chooses the battle (TC, IW, DB, etc. - no Free Missions !). If
the Squadron Commander challenges or is challenged the Wing Commander will
choose the battle. Winner is the pilot with the highest Total in the flown
battle. All results are send to the Wing Commander who will do the
judgement and publish the result at the end of the month. For each five
victories (won battles) the pilot receives an IS-BW.

We're up 22 on last week's
BSF count, so let's hope this trend continues and soon we'll be getting
100 BSFs done every week. I myself might even start flying battles other
than for COM's Judgment.. just to show you that the ol' WC has still got
it :)
Other than that, a very good week as usual, people. XVIII pilots are
usually the dominant group in #avenger, which is good to see. A bit more
activity on the message board would be lovely, though. It's there for you
to use... |
