I apologies for being
late in writing this, I've had a lot to do lately.
Wing News
Graphic phase is
over
The first phase of
Exercise Cantina Run IV is over, and although the number of participants was
rather low the numbers of submissions form each of the pilot that took part was
very high and most of them of good quality. I have good hopes of one of those
subs wining the first place.
Phase II of
ERC IV
Tomorrow, 20th of September, the second phase of
Exercise Cantina Run IV begins. This time it's fiction writing about the history
of the Battle Groups. Fortunately this is a pretty lose term, and it's also
fiction so it doesn't have to be "true". You can write about a cool leave, a big
imaginary battle, your squadron's amazing rescue of a princess in need or pretty
much everything.
The story must be at least 500 words long and no run-ons will be accepted.
This phase ends on the 3rd of October. So get writing!
Change of Oblivion
Command
When Vice Admiral
Darksaber heard of my plans for this elite unit he was horrified, to allow
something that powerful in my hands would be the height of insanity. Therefore
he has ordered that Oblivion Flight will answer only to him, and not to me as
originally planed.
I am of course terrible
upset about this since it hinders me from using Oblivion for my own personal
gain ( ;P ), instead it'll be used soly against enemies of the
Hammer.
Retierment
School has taken its
toll on my Hammer time as of lately and unforsulantey it'll take even more soon
since I have been forced to take on the leading roll in a project (writing a 3D
game).
Because of this I will
have to resigned from the EH at the end of this month, I will stay long enough
to take care of the MSE wards and such so that my successor won't have to dealt
with that immediately after assuming the office.
The reason as to why I
announce this now (more than 10 days before I leave) is so that a successor can
be found before I leave so that the transfer of leadership is as seamless as
possible. VA Darksaber is currently accepting applications for the new Wing
Commander, if you fill up to it do apply (you must be/have been a CMDR in order
to qualify).
Tie Corps Page
Down
The Tie Corps page and
database is currently down due to the fact that the ISP, Crystal Tech, has
cancelled the account due to "using to much CPU power" (as if the GA didn't pay
them for it).
Until a new ISP can be
found and the site brought back up all things related to the site will be
unavailable, such as BSF, medal awards, mp match reporting,
promotions.
Hopefully it won't take
too long until the site is back up and running.

The TC site, eh.net, is down. The
account has been deactivated. Hopefully, there is a recent backup lying
around somewhere. From now on, EHers are not to use CrystalTech as any
sort of service provider. This will be reflected in the Internet
Guidelines by the end of the
week. | |
