WING COMMANDER’S OWN

IMPORTANT!
Although the TIE Corps Site has reopened, DO NOT DO ANY UPDATES to your personnel
record or submit any BSFs and such. Today some of the roster changes have been processed, but
expect a delay.

COMPETITIONS
A. Whimpering Winds....there has been a change or two....The initial deadline has been moved
back to October 31st, due to the long loss of the TIE Corps Site and resulting despondancy and
lack of activity that followed. Also, we are soon to be down to five squadrons again, so the
squadron without an opponent should choose a TIE, XvT and XWA battle and compete
internally. If you have any questions, contact your respective commanders.

B. Deathmask Competition. It ends today. Let me run some numbers by you:
Wing I Scores: Division I - 313 points; Division II - 45 points
Wing IV Scores: Division I - 1055 points; Division II - 60 points

Believe it or not, we had four squadrons participate, and yours truly. Wing IV had one squadron
participate as well as their Wing Commander. Their Wing Commander and I tied for points,
although mine were all flying, and he was creative as well as flew.

I would REALLY like to see some more flying from you all, but failing that, it would be at
least nice to know WHY you’re not flying?? There are well over 200 free missions out
there for just TIE95 alone, and probably at least that many for XvT and XWA
combined.....it doesn’t take much longer to fly a free mission than to fire up the game of
your choice!

C. The Wing I vs Hope Wing comp has entered into testing and should be ready soon. (Anyone
actually working on this anymore???)

1. WEEKLY TIDBITS
We lost several pilots after the dastardly strike by the rebels on our communications facility,
Including our beloved CM Ras Kronar. As a result, I have decided to close Epsilon Squadron
until we are better able to support it. CM Jennif Es’mith will be the commander, and LCMs
Mulder and Dehner will join her over in Beta. Commanders check the roster at the end of this
report and make sure it’s correct by your records and we’ll see that the TC roster gets updated as
well.

The paragraph above was last weeks news...DUE to a HUGE amount of email/paperwork on the
FO’s desk....some of that happened and some didn’t.......it seems that BETA squadron has been
closed, not Epsilon. See the roster at the end of this report and submit corrections to me.
Commanders make sure that your pilots that have requested to go to the reserves have their
message forwarded to the FO (spellfyre@btinternet.com) , the COMM
(hullbreach@warpmail.net) as well as myself to make sure we’ve got them all accounted for.

RECRUIT!!
Use any strength you might think you have...love of TC, Star Wars, second language..same internet
provider. Remember if you help someone and they actually remember to mention your name on the
assignment form, YOU get the MoI, not the FO!!

The site was moved to another server to try to get the email component to work. That didn't
work so I've been forced to shell out for the component and hopefully, it will get installed on the
weekend sometime. I'm hoping that after that, the site will work without much fuss and we can
