Wing XIV weekly report #31 - 05/31/2004
- WING NEWS -
Hello pilots and sorry for the late report, I got some extra work to do at home during the weekend so I didn't have the time for writing the report. Also, I apologise for not having attended the TIE Corps meeting.

First off, please give a warm welcome aboard to a real ASF legend, General Dax Corrin! Dax returned to his old ship after being in Avenger for 4 years and he joined Viper squadron. Welcome back! :p

Update of the new database is going well so far, ranks and positions in the ASF rosters have been updated and the only missing parts are FCHG and CR points but TAC and COO are personally taking care of restoring them. If you are missing FCHG points: send to FA Mike ( pbmike@go2.pl ) a list of the missions you have flown since January and, if you can, include what was your FCHG total before of the database crash. For the missions High Scores, you will have to resubmit your pilot files and wait again for the HS approval. If you are missing CR points: unfortunately LoCs and DFCs weren't backed up so we are going to compile a list of the missing MP awards. All pilots are asked to send the number of LoCs and DFCs they are missing to their CMDR. CMDRs wil lthen provide me a list of missing medals for their squadron and I will write down a list for the whole Wing that will be submitted to the ASF BGCOM for approval.

Another very important thing: if you have a PIN higher than 11300 then your profile wasn't backed up. Don't worry, you won't lose your record! All you have to do is to fill out the "Join the TIE Corps form ( http://www.ehtiecorps.org/join.asp ) and specify your current ID line and PIN (the ones you had on the old database, that is) in the "additional notes" part of the form. Your profile will be immediately restored and you will be re-assigned to your current position. No need to pass Daedalus training again :p

Closing the "database issues" part with good news, it seems like we can finally process BSF and reccomend medals!

The new Diamondback Squadron Commander, CM Predator, had to delay his return from leave due to some technically difficulties but he will be back soon. Predator's return will also mark the beginning of the Intrepid Flightschool, open to all pilots who want to learn multiplayer combat. LC CrimsonFury is back from his LoA, but just a few days then he will be away again for some weeks. SavageAz will be the A-CMDR.

Then I'd like to thank Justin, CrimsonFury and Zhaim Jifarr for sending in January and February MSEs for their respective squadrons. These will help me to make sure there are no errors in the updated database. Thank you for your quick response.

The XWA Week of War is on. Even if we are a XvT Wing I know many of you own XWA so please take 10 minutes to join the Zone and fly at least one match for the EH. You gain points for the EH even if you lose so don't worry too much about how mnay times you get killed: the more matches you play, the more points you give to the EH. Fly, fly, fly!

Last but not least, many congratulations to VA Frodo on his first year as Commodore of the ISD Intrepid. Frodo hosted a great MP Party in #ehcoc last Friday and I'm glad to see that many pilots from the ASF participated, we had several 2vs2 and even two 4vs4 melees. Trsut me, you all should try these kind of melees because they are freacking fun!
