| VA Frodo stepped down from the position of Commodore and
joined Reserves. Despite my attempts to make Frodo change his mind,
he's now already aboard of the M/FRG Phoenix but he will continue to be
the XvT:TCC which also means more XvT battles from Frodo (the horror...
:p). The new Commodore for the ISD Intrepid will be chosen soon, stay
tuned and get ready for a MAJ Zhaim Jifarr of Diamondback won the Scramble Training and Ship Shapes competitions, LT Hakavay got second in Ship Shapes and LCM 4 Spatas got second in Scramble Training. Congratulations you three and thanks to everyone that participated. Viper has been the most active squadron in the Scramble Training so they won the title of WC's Own for the month of June, well done! I wasn't able to find another Wing up for a battle against us so I've submitted two new competitions open to the whole Wing, a FCHG race and a CR race that will run throu the whole month of July. Standard TAC rules for FCHG and CR points apply and at the end of the month the two most active pilots in each category will be rewarded with a IS-SW and IS-BW medal. Also, I want to remind you of the big Multiplayer event hosted by RA Drax Remlinger that will be held next Saturday in the IRC channel #ehcoc, this is going to be a fun chat+fly meeting so I encourage all of you to attend the event. Single Player activity has been pretty good during the past week and the most commendable activity came from GN Dax Corrin, LCM S 4patas and LT El Guapo. Welcome aboard to SL Gwyndragonn who recently joined Copperhead squadron coming from Platform Daedalus. On other news, CM Bizzare is the new Flight 2 Leader of Copperhead squadron. and the competition between Copperhead and Viper is up and running, good luck to both squadrons. And on a final note, CMDRs your MSEs are due to me A.S.A.P (so far I've received Asp MSE only) |

on XvT/BoP Mission Flying. 08:02 - FA Ender mBind [mindb_ender@hotmail.com] Many of our XvT and BoP missions give you the option to pick the Flight Group you fly with, meaning that you don't always need to take the first FG selected by default. If you see other craft types and or flights/squadrons at the bottom of the briefing you can drag and drop your pilot name to them. This generally offers you more choice in craft, warheads and tactics. (1 FG might be fighters, the other bombers for example.) Additionally many of these missions are enabled for Co-Op flying (as usually noted in their readme.txt). To do this when using EHBL, move the MISSION.LST out of your /Misc folder into /Train. Then all players launch via EHBL, one hosts a MP game and the others join. Select the mission in "Training" and there you go. (Make sure all players have the same game version.) Co-Op flying is a lot of fun, does not create more lag then a melee and afterwards each of the players can just have their pilotfiles BSFed. (I've flown a few battles like this myself.) Obviously this makes a mission easier (no stupid AI wingmen), however it can mean that your scores are lower because the amount of targets is devided over the players. (Some battles compensate for this by giving more targets if there are more then 1 or 4 players.) Everything has gone more than perfectly but for the Commendations of Loyalty that were added this year. I awarded some, but not all of them, and this has created a problem. So, I ask that all COM/WC duos send to ops@emperorshammer.org the listings of all their pilots that are owed CoLs, and I will add them into the database. PINs are always helpful. Please try not to double-award CoLs, because as we all know this is just something that will have to be reversed. Thanks in advance for cooperation! |
