Wing One Weekly Report #5

Local News

Round Three of the Sovereign SP Ladder has been flown and we've
fronted up with 8 submissions. Not bad - but we're falling away a
little here. There's only one week to go now - so make with the
submission pain!
One pilot who shall remain nameless, has returned to his scintillating
activity form. I dare not speak his name aloud for fear it might rouse
him from his temporary stupor. :)

We now have five pilots submitting for the gutterball comp, which is
good - but all of them have played more than once, which is great :P

Awesome Facts of the Week

- Everyone in Alpha flew TIE for the SP Ladder Comp.
- CM Serin Jansj- Aaaahhh! *bombarded with pilot files*
...

- Serin Jansj *cringes* recieved an IS-SR for the Emperor's Hammer
Site of the Week Award! It's the first one given out by the new IO.
And he's just completed a database of every EH website in existence.
He picked yours first. Awesome :-)

TC News

- The IO has launched the EH Site Database! Which reminds me, we're
getting a Wing Website this week :P
- One new TIE Battle, one new XvT Battle and one new XvT Free Mission
added to the Compendium.
- The new EH-only game, Imperial Alliance is now open for a closed
beta. This game is the future of the corps. The force is strong with
this one.
- AD TK-21107 was awarded the Grand Order of the Emperor for his
recruiting efforts.
- A gaggle of medals have been awarded, including our own backlog.
Huzzah!
- The COMM has started the "Baptism of Fire" Competition, which is the
first competition to award the newly revamped MoC.

More details on any of the above can be found at
http://www.ehtiecorps.org/news.asp

My Activity

- No cadets talked to this week (several pilots have stepped in for me
this time, and I greatly appreciate the break)
- BSF'ed 45 FCHG worth of pilot files from our CMDR's.
- We got us some webspace! :P
- A whole lot of IM Activity
- Delivering Eggs.

Competitions

Wing I Gutterball Competition!

End Date: 4th April
Missions/Battles: None. Gutterball Program Required.
http://www.skunkstudios.com/gutterball2/
Medals: Iron Star Silver Ribbon ot highest score, Iron Star Bronze
Ribbon to second highest score.
Huh?: Following the success of the Torus Trooper Competition (ID
1776) the Wing Commander has augmented the simulators with a new piece
of software. The pilots think it's a bowling simulator. To the Wing
Commander, it's the perfect way to access pilot accuracy and control.
Pilots need to send a screenshot of their results to the Wing
Commander to be considered for the reward, as this is a pilot
evaluation exercise.
Why?: It's fun :P It also helps me evaluate your pilot skills. Really.
I promise :P It's also a way to be active without flying. If you
aren't interested in flying - these sorts of comps are required
activity.

Participatants: Kahooli, Zirus*, Hunter, Talons*, Gyssler*

* Multiple Submissions!

The Winner of this competition can add "WING ONE GUTTERBALL CHAMPION"
under their ID Line in all Wing communications (including
mailinglist), and can also display a 50 x 50 version of his crown in
the same place.

Sov SP Ladder Competition - Round Four

Summary

At the moment, we're just trundling along. Trundling - with FURY! :P

In all seriousness, as we can all see above - the rewards for
excellent participation are there. That was not an illusion. That was
Seven Medals. I will give you your due. Your CMDR's will give you your
due. Even the CS are jumping out of their way to give you your due.
The TC system is designed to reward activity and to encourage you to
enjoy yourselves. This is how the system should work. This week it's
working :-)

Fly hard, shoot straight, nail a few strikes and have fun! :P

Yours in Service,

WC/MAJ Brin Chaser/Wing I/SSSD Sovereign
