Week Ending February 1st 2003

- I've returned to school as
of Wednesday, so if there is a slightly longer-than-usual wait for email
response or processing of administrative tasks, you now know why.

- It's MSE time again, CMDRs.
Lucky you. For those stragglers still to submit evaluations, get on with
it. Those little darlings who've already got them in, have a cookie.
|
- COM's Judgment has finished
for January. This is the closest contest in many months. We all wait for
AD Tiger's announcement of BGCOM's Escort with baited breath.

| - The competition against
Wing XI draws to a close in a couple of days. I've been prettyy happy with
the participation in this comp. Give yourselves a pat on the back! |
- All squadron/flight
webmasters should bring their sites up to date with the new TC Homepage
Standards, which can be found at http://www.ehnet.org/guidelines.php#tcguides.
The FO says that if this is not done by February 9th, officers may
face removal from their positions.

WING XVIII
- XWA FREE mission comp against Wing XI. The mission to fly is XWA-FREE
32 and the comp ends on the 4th of February (just enough time for those
last minute submissions).

Despite this past month being
one of the more active for Wing XVIII in terms of the range of pilots
participating, it has been one of the closest calls in all my time as WC.
This can only mean that the other wings are starting to wake up and give
us some competition at last. This may seem like a bad thing, because now
we have to work doubly hard to win, but it also strengthens us and hardens
our skills, which prepares XVIII better for contests against other wings
in the TC.
On that note, after the comp against Wing XI wraps up, I'll be contacting
another WC to initiate a challenge. The time frame for this next comp will
depend on CMDRs' plans for their squads in the next few weeks, but nothing
major has been spoken of so I think it'll be good to go. I will also take
into account the Great Jedi War, as we are a DB wing so most of us will be
busy with our DB responsibilities.
Another great month, people. This wing, and several pilots in particular,
continue to make me beam with pride every time I check my email. Keep it
up. |
