HOW NOT TO POST ON A RUN-ON FICTION
Yes, in light of the recent Battlegroup Run-on, this week's Wing Report features a look at how not to post in Run-ons! We will start off with a typical introduction paragraph, and go from there and then flow into some examples of how not to post...
Vice Admiral Sarin strolled down the corridors of the Grey Wolf towards the bridge. The ship had recently been sent to patrol the fringes of Emperor's Hammer territory. Suddenly, the ship's communications system announced, "Commodore, we need you on the bridge immediately! This is an emergency!"
He quickly dashed to the bridge, and...
... As he got there, Scotty the ship's engineer chimed in. "Commodore, the ship is headed into a lag field! We can not take much more of this! The engines are going to blow apart!"
"Okay, Scotty, devert power from ALL non essential systems!"
"Commodore, I've got it!"
And the ship cleared the lag field.
"That was close," Sarin said.
"Aye, it was capt... argh, my speach is slowally gatting wars... wors... bad!"
"quick scottt... get out of this post... quick... fast!"
And suddenly, the Intrepid moved rapidly toward the enemy Calamari Cruiser.
"Closing fast!"
"Launch all Squadrons, open the turbolaser batteries!"
"Wait, how did the Run-on get here, I thought it was on the Grey Wolf!?"
"Beats me!"
However, it turns out that it was really all a simulation.
A simulation of a simulation, even!
Even better, a dream of a simulated simulator!
Suddenly, a ship entered the area.
"This is Captain Picard of the Federation starship Enterprise, we are here to help!"
And suddenly, the Grey Wolf exploded. The universe then collapsed upon itself.
