And one more time, welcome to the next edition of wing report. If we talk about activity, this week was an average one. I'm still looking for someone to design wing website. Everyone interested email me: drakon@go2.pl. Also, I have chosen new Kaph Squadron commander. As you already know, this position was given to COL Reaper former WingIVer and Praetorian. Welcome back to the wing Colonel! Also, two pilots joined us last week too - everybody warmly welcome LCM DarkEagle who joined Yod (3-4) and SL Halk Knight, who has just graduated the wing academy and joined Lamed (3-2). Drinks are on You guys ;). Now, lets get on to the rest of the news...

Wing IV News
° Wing IV has reached the number of 40 pilots. Way to go people!
° LCM DarkEagle joins Yod Squadron (3-4)
° SL Halk Knight joins Lamed Squadron (3-2)
° Colonel Reaper became new Kaph Squadron Commander.
° Yod vs Demon comp is still running. Good luck Yoders, I'm still keeping my fingers crossed.
° Colonel Ricardo has compiled the wing staff history. It was sent over the mailing list. I must say: 'Nice job Rico' :)
° Wings Secret Wet Suit Society has been compromised! I think it isn't secret anymore :P
° Wing Academy - project continues. For now, I have listened few opinions about it... Well, I decided to definately continue it, especially when my instructors seems to have plenty of new ideas, and are eager to show their activity around there :)
° First round of Wing IV Ace competition has ended. Results are listed in Competitions section.

Wing IV Competitions

1.) Wing IV Ace Competition - Round I
This competition has ended today. Here are the results:

TIE Platform Winner : LC Philo with 629,690 pts.
XvT Platform Winner : LC Philo with 273,518 pts.
XWA Platform Winner : LC Philo with 71,920 pts.

Looks like this was one actors' show. LC Philos' performance was outstanding! Congratulations Philo!

2.) Wing IV War Archives
Start Date : 1/10/2003
End Date : prelonged
Parties Involved : Wing IV of SSSD Sovereign
Medals to be Awarded : IS SR - Iron Star Silver Ribbon for the best submission.
Miscellaneous Information : Well, this is a ficition competition. As a part of TIE Corps, Wing IV takes a part in many combat operations, like defending convoys, attacking them, strike missions etc. The basic idea of this competition is to write a story about one of these missions or combat operations (made up of course). The story has to include entire Wing and be hmm.. astonishing - like an interesting novel. I will be choosing the winner myself.

Medals to be Awarded : IS SR - for the winner of five Trivia Comps on #wing_iv during wing IRC meeting ISM - for the ppl hosting five Trivia Comps
Miscellaneous Information : Standard trivia competition. The winner of five trivia comps gets IS SR. The person who hosts the comp for five times (person who ask the questions) will get ISM for his work.

TC Homepage Standards - Update

It seems some people need clarification on this: Squadron, Wing/Ship and Battlegroup websites are mandatory. If you are a CMDR+, then it's your responsibility to make sure these pages are in place and meet the requirements. This doesn't mean you have to make the pages yourself - there are plenty of people in the EH that can do this for you. Whether you make the pages or not, they remain your responsibility.

These requirements have not be brought in to make your life more difficult. They are there so that TIE Corps sites meet a high level of standard. A Cadet is more likely to consider joining your Squadron if the page has all the correct information and is regularly updated.
