MISCELLANEOUS
- AD Theodore requests/advises: I would like to remind the Fleet that the Flight Office receives a large amount of mail and ID lines make the job of locating people and completing requests easier but PIN numbers are the fastest way to locate members. Use your pin numbers and the processing of requests will go much more smoothly. Also, SA Kawolski has worked diligently to make the database more efficient with the creation of many on-line forms for requests. USE them. If you do not or cannot, make a notation that you are aware of the forms or cannot use the form and why, otherwise I will reject the request regardless of the merits.

Due to the extreme number of "hungover" pilots that arrived this morning in the MedLab before MAJ Proton's briefing, I have been forced to restrict all "qualified" patients to their quarters. Prescription for this type of injury is lots of "black" coffee, and lots of Extra Strength Tylenol, a medication I found on some obscure planet called Earth. The inhabitants of that world told me it does wonders for the pounding in the head of over indulgence of alcohol.
One last reminder, when LC Sickman throws a party in the Airlock, please remember to use some "intelligence" when drinking. Otherwise I may have to report any future "indiscretions" to MAJ Proton. hehe

Postscript to all Wing V pilots: RECRUIT! Our numbers are lagging again. Here's some good advice offered by our own LT Focault:
Let me give everybody a little perspective from someone who was recently in the training/recruitment phase. These days, the average recruit is bombarded with emails from squadrons, at least five per day, starting about ten minutes after being placed on the Dadelus roster. Most of these emails are poorly formatted, corny monstrosities where acronyms, poor grammar and misspellings abound, all of them offering help, action, adventure, and quick promotion opportunities. Because I am sardonic by nature, I took the time to send a carefully worded replay to every one, asking a question, and inquiring as to further information about the squadron. Do you know how many replies I
received? Zero, even from the recruitment messages from this very wing.
Allow me to offer a few suggestions on how to improve our recruitment
success-
1.) Reply to questions asked
2.) Make sure that your messages are well formatted (Try not to use any weird fonts or colors)
3.) Make sure that your messages contain no spelling or grammatical
errors-it just makes you look like you really don't care about recruiting.
4.) DON'T USE ANY ACRONYMS IN YOUR MESSAGES. Remember that all cadets are new to the EH, so they don't know what CT, LCM, CMDR, SSSD, M/PLT, GA, FO, TC, WC, ect. mean.
5.) Don't make your messages too long-remember that the average persons attention span is very short.
6.) Consider promoting the whole wing, instead of just your squadron. I think that if we present a united front (i.e., Join Wing V, its the best! from lots of people, instead of Join Aylin, its the Best! from one place, and Join Sadhe, its the best! from another) that we will have increased success.
