Commodore HA Dempsey reporting
Report ID: H.AD.084
Report date: October 30, 2016
It's one more day for the big October Onslaught competition. Tomorrow, you will receive the last of the 31 trivia questions, and tomorrow is the last day you can send in pilotfiles and screenshots for the week 4 competitions. I also hope to receive some fiction submissions tomorrow!
In the last week of October, the last of the September MSE medals were awarded. I honestly cannot recall the last time I received a Palpatine Crescent, I'm really starting to slack activity wise. I don't see that changing soon though....
Good news, as LCM Michael LeRoy took down last week's Screenshots competition, bringing the medals back to the Hammer. It's nice that the Fleet Commander won last time, but we can't have Command Staffers winning competitions, can we!
Still, tomorrow will be not so good a day. Well, actually, tomorrow will be a good day, it's Tuesday that won't be so good, as we will then have to say goodbye to Alpha Commander LC Silvius. I would have liked to be able to get him all the way to General, but it is not to be. Still, I wish him all the best as our new Combat Operations Officer, and know he will do well there. On Tuesday, we will also welcome LCM Michael LeRoy to the command officers on this ship, as he will be taking over command of Alpha Squadron. Major Task will ensure you receive the keycodes to the Officer's Lounge and Officer's Bathroom.
Until next week!
Week 3 trivia ended last Monday, and so we were unable to give you that week's winner in last week's report, which you should have received in your inboxes last week.
It will be interesting to see what happens in the last week - at this moment, COL Clark is still in the race for a bonus IS-GR for winning all 4 non-flying weeks. He has 3 weeks wo n so far! In the trivia, the IS-GR is off the table, as LC Silvius did not manage to take the win, as COL Clark took that one down as well. Someone's on a roll!
LCM LeRoy, you are to report to my office on Tuesday to sign your non-diclosure agreement, upon which you will be given the passcodes you will want so you
can enjoy the lucuries in the Officer's Lounge. please make sure you have plenty of time, the non-disclose agreement must be read in full and considering the
200 pages of text you will have to read, I urge you to plan ahead!

Dempsey's Weekly Screenshots
Every week, the report will have a screenshot. First pilot to send the correct answer to the mailing list wins. Each victory earns you an IS-BR. Unless it's a 5th victory, you then get a IS-SR. Unless it's a 10th victory, which gives you an IS-GR. A 25th victory will give you an IS-PR!

In general
Everything that has to do with time will be issued via the TC website (you must be logged in to access the appropriate page). Your time will start when you open the page, and will end when you submit your solution. Bear in mind that you can only submit your solution ONE TIME, because you won't be able to access the submission form again. You can, however, close your browser window between opening the page and submitting your solutions. In total, I am olffering up 2x IS-GW, 5x IS-SW, 5x IS-BW, 4x IS-GR, 7x IS-SR, 11x IS-BR, so there's plenty of chances to grab yourself at least one of these 35 medals!
Flying
4 weeks - 4 flying tasks. As usual with me, I won't be going for "best of the best" or "high score" since that seriously limits the chances of most pilots. Instead, the goal will be something achievable by all!
Star Conflict PvP Efficiency - FINISHED
TIE Fighter points - FINISHED
Star Conflict PvE Kills - FINISHED
TIE Fighter kills - Fly TIE Free 281 and get as close as you can to 33 kills (TIE breaker = least lasers fired) |
Non-flying
4 weeks - 4 different tasks that have nothing to do with flying!
Seven Degrees of Separation - FINISHED
Music Video screenscots - FINISHED
Flash Game Victory - FINISHED

Fiction
For this competition, you will have the entirety of the month, so no 4 different fictions, that would be asking too much :)
Objective: write a fiction between 1500 and 5000 words (no joke - you are limited). Also, in some way, the fiction should be about one of the Hammer's expeditions for the TIE Corps. Be sure to highlight your own role in this expedition. I don't care if it's exploration, defense of the Empire, expansion, pirates or New Republic, it's your choice.
Trivia
you will receive a trivia question in your e-mail each day. 3 points for the 1st correct answer, 2 points for the second correct answer, 1 point for every other correct answer. Weeks begin on the 1st, 9th, 16th and 23rd.
Medal Structure
First off, there's a points structure: the week's winner earns two points, every other qualifying participant earns 1 point.
