Greetings everyone

Some major items to discuss here today.

Firstly….You’ll all have seen it but through some odd decisions made by myself and the Admiralty Board Kaisin Mirtez has been evaluated to the lofty position of General for his hard work, effort and general support of the Wing.

Congratulations General Mirtez, richly deserved.

Oh and apparently these aren’t the droids I’m looking for!?


Secondly last week we welcomed aboard the Warrior SL’s Caydin Makarin and SL Dav Aosiz I’m happy to announce that in their first week they both managed activity levels consistent with being promoted to LT, congratulations and well done to both of you.

LT Aosiz has amassed an impressive 51 missions at my last count and has exceeded the requirements for the Commendation of Bravery. Next stop for Dav is to work TTT2 and get a uniform uploaded to the database.

LT Makarin managed to get (our own Tempests) TTT2 working and upload a uniform, (which is a miracle in itself).Next stop for Caydin is the completion of those 30 missions for your CoB.

Keep up the good work both of you.

Thirdly, there’s been some serious flying activity around here, many missions have been flown, (see Activity section below) and not just by one pilot. Four people, Conker, Daar, Mirtez and Aosiz have all found their flying boots. I may even have to enter a cockpit myself this weekend; flying this desk is getting a little boring and there are a couple of new missions on the compendium to try.

Now can anyone sort out the hex-editing thing of my XWA exe so I can get my targeting reticule back?

This also means that Kappa has a healthy lead in the “Warriors Pride” competition, come on Alpha, not a single response yet…don’t let my old squadron down!

Finally if you, as I, have been following those sleazy reporters at the Aurora Times you’ll know that there’s a peace treaty being worked on between the EH and the NR on one of the Aspire platforms. Whilst we all hate the idea of peace with the NR we have to admit were not exactly winning and we face threats from all angles that have always stretched our beloved fleet to its very limits. So look on the bright side people, even if peace is declared and we’re not allowed to shoot at the NR there’s always more time for drinking, and with peace treaties come massive, all expenses paid parties!!!!! BRING IT ON!!!!

Me I’m waiting to see if it all comes off, peace is hard earned and easily ended. I have crossed my fingers that we might actually get some leave soon and get off this war footing.

Oh and rather less importantly I got awarded a GoE, let me say that dagger looks good for disciplining unruly lizards….lightsabers tend to cauterize wounds, this blade simply slices and then they bleed to death….he he he (big evil grin)…

- Have fun, no really have some fun…that’s an order!
- Obey your superiors, especially me...you hear that Mirtez? Just because you’re a General
now doesn’t give you any special privileges with me you here.
- Be loyal to the Fleet and don’t shoot down any rebels whilst we’re waiting for the treaty to be
signed….Vip won’t be happy if we get blamed for the treaty failing.
- Be active…get in touch….add something to the history of your new ship!
- Commanders write your reports and keep your people motivated.
- Defend the Drunken Scorpion from Kaisins bloody lizards, we’ve not got that much booze
left.

Competition Time

OK people I’ve had my competition for the Wing approved so here goes,

Warriors Pride

A Wing VI Competition between Alpha and Kappa squadrons aboard the ISD II Warrior. To Be managed and judged by GN Rancorous.

Standard competition to run from the 1st of August until the end of August.

Flying Section
1 point per mission flown.
Bonus 5 points per High Score gained
Winning pilot - IS-SW
Runner Up IS-BW

Fiction Section
All fiction entries must be around the ISD II Warrior ether currently, or in her historical timeline. Max 10 points per fiction
Winning pilot - IS-SR
Runner Up IS-BR

Graphics Section
All Graphics must focus on the ISD Warrior or the Squadrons aboard her; Max 10 points per fiction.
Winning pilot - IS-SR
Runner Up IS-BR

Winning Squadron gets title of “Warriors Own” and all active pilots will receive an IS-BR
Competition entries will be judged by GN Rancorous and pilots may as many fiction and graphics entries during the competition as they like, however only the best 5 scores in each section will count towards the final score to encourage quality rather than quantity.


So there you go guys, something to get your teeth into, and if I’m still around in September I’ll be making the awards to the lucky winners.

NOW GET OUT THERE AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!!

Summary

Good week, good activity from Kappa and some great flying. Nice work from the rookies, make sure they settle in well and don’t let them get killed on patrol please guys, they’re more promising than the last lot.

Let’s hope for peace, and start the party soon!

See you next week…..unless we all get decommissioned because of a peace treaty, then I can buy that bit of land on Aurora Prime and take up nerf herding!
