SQUADRON NEWS:

Welcome to the 56th Cobra Squadron Report. Well to start of this report I would like to say "HAPPY NEW YEARS!" to all of the TC. 2004 has past and we are on the road to some hopefully positive changes. With the new year comes also a time of loss, yes I say loss. The reason is because we have some dead meat in the squadron in which will be taken care of in due time. We lose LT Syleim to 30+ days of inactivity and it's off on the road to AWOLism, so as you can see and like I said in an earlier email to you all, that I will no longer tolerate inactivity within Cobra squadron. We are hear to help this ever changing club prosper but in order to do this I need active members not couch potatoes. So for those of you who are in lieu of losing out due to this thing called inactivity beware as the hammer is coming down and you have until this Friday to check/report in or face removal to the RSVs no joking around this time as I've given enough slack time.

Next we have some activity awards within the ranks of Cobra this week. COL Plif has earned himself an IS-BR for his submission in the POTW banner comp thanks COL I appreciate the effort. To the rest of Cobra that's all I asked from everyone is a small bit of effort, that's it. Remember that even the smallest bit of effort can get you something shiny and maybe even a promo one day. So if you want it bad enough then only you have the power to control your destiny inside of Cobra.

I have once again pounded the star charts with FCHG points to the tune of 250+ for the month of december, so I hope this brings good fortunes for me later, even the best part is that it brings me within 210 points from the current 4th place since the addition of COL Marcin Szydlowski I have moved back down to 5th on the ship, so now I will be working ever so diligently to aquire my last position. So I'll be flying my tail off again, WC stand by for more activity from me, LOTS! I again flew for only 25 missions to top off the years end at a grand total for December of 252.

Okay as far as comps go, all my current comps are over and I will be looking to rekindle that dying flame for activity starting soon so keep your toes ready for anything. COL Plif is my current pilot of the week, especially since he won the banner comp and got his medal awarded today.  I am working on a ladder comp and still trying to set up a SP flying comp for us as well as a new non-flying comp coming soon as details are not ready yet.

Please remember if you go on leave at any time especially during the holidays, please be sure to set your status on your online profile to "on leave" so I won't badger you for not reporting in on time.

CMDR's Work: I have been slowly working on my new goal to attain the next FCHG rank of Archon, obviously I'm some missions (battles) away but its getting closer with each passing day as I try to fly atleast 2 battles a day. Well I have met a small objective and that was to be over 1300 by the years end and I did it by getting to 1325, which is quite a feat for me. I still have a weeks worth of RL leave left so I will be flying my tail off to get closer to Archon and that way I'll be able to get some extra points during the new upcoming SC comp by attaining that new FCHG rank :)

Remember that I will also accept any work for those of you who are doing FW on your spare time. So please don't forget to send me any activity you have for this platform. I will add it to the report and get you any rewards in which you are entitled to. If anyone needs me please use email. This is the fastest way to make contact with me right now, so I have minimum distractions. Thanks.

(SP) FCHG Stuff: LC Apophis Kuma is the current leader in December so far doing SP flying, with a score of 252 points so far and was followed close behind by CM Hunterwolf with 45, but not any more, I have taken a grand lead and 5th in the Wing!

PS: Don't forget my email address is apophis@blacksunalliance.org so be sure to update your address books. Remember you slithering snakes, DO SOME ACTIVITY! nuff said!

That's it for this week, cya next time!

PILOTS LOUNGE

POTW: This week it will be COL Plif for doing atleast the minimum by reporting in and making a comp submission. Good job!

WAR ROOM:

Squadron recruiting comp ended, cuz there were no submissions or new members added cuz of recruiting efforts.

Pilot of the Week (POTW) Banner comp is completed and won by COL Plif (congratz!).

    • Created a new BOP-FREE battle (Called: "Cool Hand" Luke) release date: 2004.07.27

Activity to do: I would like everyone to try and at least do one of the following every week. Fly one FREE mission or battle a week, write a small piece of fiction, make a graphic, add a new reply to the current squadron run-on or something for the squadron message board, create a new FREE mission or new battle for the compendium, last of all I want at the least is a report from you saying I'm alive, well and kicking.

XO Words

Well it's the 2005 everyone!  Happy new year!  I don't know about you guys but I know what my new years resolution will be and that's more flying.  Hope I hope that's you guys goal too.  But that's about it this week until next time!

 -XO/FL-F3/CM Hunterwolf

Rewards: As all things come to an end, such as rewards for work accomplished. There were no medals posted this week, with none pending save the MSE ones, which I'm not sure if they were awarded or not, hopefully they will come soon. Just remember I will gladly get you a medal or promotion if you put forth the effort. I promise you I will if its within my power to get you these things. All you need to do is show me that your ready for it. Nuff said.

Have a great day!
