SQUADRON NEWS:

Here we are at report #4. Once again time has flown by and here it is yet the start of another fascinating New Year. We start off 2004 with some good things. First, I have managed to get a temporary website up for the squadron, which may wind up being permanent. Since CM Kakihara has offered to help me with some extra graphics for helping the site be more presentable. The website is accessible by all squadron members and they all have the ability to post news (more later under CMDRs section).

Secondly, LT KramCola is back from leave, so I expect to see more work coming from him in the coming weeks. Welcome back LT! I would like to say belated Christmas to all and Happy New Year. I trust that everyone had a good time while on vacation as well as getting lots of presents. 

MSE: Well suffice it to say that the current MSE for December has been done. Now I know what little bit of tweaking my MSE Generator needs after a talk with VA Frodo. But all in all it has been submitted and sent out. So anyone that's gonna get medals will get them shortly (I hope). To add here though, there was not much to say in Decembers MSE, since not much work was done, however, I'm sure this will change right gang?

Once again I would REALLY like to stress the importance of Recruitment. We are down to 5 squad mates and are in need of more. We currently have no citations since we need atleast 6 members to have any. We are in desperate need of new meat. So get your butts out there and find us some help! Don't forget I have that recruitment comp running, so if your looking for a possible easy medal then best get out there and recruit.

I have to say again that coming soon is the ASF:SC comp. The more people we have in the squadron the better our scores and ratings will be. So everyone is tasked with finding atleast one new person to fill a spot. Keep in the back of your head our squadron recruitment comp is still ongoing and open to the one who gets the most will earn a medal so you had better get busy if you want it!

SQUADRON COMMANDER'S OFFICE:

Projects: Website..I have done some grand work getting a working website up for the squadron. If you haven't seen it go look. Its not to bad if I do say so myself. It is run off a MS Access database. It shows the squadron roster as created by me, a news page as well as various other pages. The key thing is that you all have access to it as well as the COM and WC. Mostly the only thing you have is news posting access, however, this will change over the next few days or so, as I'm working diligently to upgrade the site every chance I get. With your help and possible ideas we can make this a great site.

The one thing I'm currently working on is a page under the admin access which will enable everyone to change their password and or email. This is something that needs to be done. I have granted everyone their own passwords and can change them for you if you need it. However, give me like a day or so and you will be able to change it and your email if you need to. Just remember though, if you change either one, you will have to remember your email. Since this is the one that your admin info will be mailed to if you forget your password. All you need to do is go to the forgot password and type in your email and it will be auto-mailed directly to you.

A fancy addition. This is one that I'm happy about so far. Its a MSE generator, mostly this is for me, but its a cool feature. One that all I need to do is add the info of what you have done and its automatically added to a specific format, then auto-mailed to the WC and COM. Only comments I've gotten was form the COM and those corrections have been made. More stuff coming soon.

Activity to do: I would like everyone to try and atleast do one of the following every week. Fly one FREE mission or battle a week, write a small piece of fiction, add a new reply to the current squadron run-on or something for the squadron message board, create a new FREE mission or new battle for the compendium, last of all I want at the least is a report from you saying I'm alive, well and kicking.

Rewards: Well as all things come to an end as such so do rewards for work accomplished. Since there was none really I can't submit any requests to award anyone for their work :P Just remember I will gladly get you a medal or promotion if you put forth the effort. I promise you I will if its within my power to get you these things. All you need to do is show me that your ready for it. Nuff said.
