• Welcome to the first Hornet WSR of 2005, and my 50th WSR as Hornet CO.  It's going to be another "express" one however, since I just got back from vacation and I'll have another one out on Friday anyway.

• The Queen Mother of all competitions starts this Saturday--  Aggressor Strike Force:  Supremacy Competition VII.  You can call it ASF:SCVII for short (pronounced asf'-skuhvee).  This is the big one we do every year against the other wings in the ASF.  It usually consists of single player, multiplayer, IWATS, fiction, and graphics competitions.  While all the details have not been revealed yet, it has been said that multiplayer will be heavily weighted, and Free Worlds will be included this year as well.

• I want you guys to spend this week gearing up for the ASF:SCVII.  Make sure all your LucasArts games are installed, patched, and that you can load the battles into them.  If you have any problems with this, please IM me ASAP.  I know all the tricks.

• For multiplayer, you'd do well to download this little gem.  It's the client people use to play WoW games with XWA and XvT.

• Minos is down, AGAIN, possibly forever since the guy who runs it went to Iraq.  This means that our squad page and all of my old reports are offline.  Like any good Commander, I have a carbon copy of all that stuff on my own hard drive.  Once the Minos issue is resolved (hopefully replaced by something more reliable, though for what it cost, Minos was excellent) I'll put everything back up and update all links if necessary.

• The old message boards died with Minos apparently, but that's no big deal, cuz we have new ones now!  I even managed to save all our old posts!  Go to http://mb.emperorshammer.net/viewforum.php?f=64 and then register and start spamming!  While you're at it, why not post to the run-on?

• As far as I know, everyone should have a working computer now, be done with all that strenuous fall schoolwork, and be back from Holiday Leave.  As has been tradition in this squad, anyone who does absolutely nothing for ASF:SCVII will be AWOLed.  It sounds harsh, but you almost have to really make an effort in order to not do anything in the month that the SC lasts.  We've never lost anyone to this policy before and I don't expect it to happen this year either.

• Our Wing Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Daisuke Airyu, has resigned/retired.  Best of luck to you!

• The EH Shiplist has changed in Free Worlds since the EH has joined the Empire.  No more flying mailbox!

• Congrats to everyone who received medals this week.  Be sure to keep those uniforms updated!

• Be sure to check out all the competitions below, as always, though as I said your main goal this week is to prepare for the Supremacy Competition.
