Submitted by CMDR Xander Drax January 1st, 2005 :: [ Squadron News ] :: I'd like to open up my first report as Viper CO with a hello to all the pilots in the squad, and give you a bit of background on my time in the TC. I've been in the TC for over 7 years now, and this will be my fifth tour as a Squadron Commander. I've also been a Wing Commander, held a couple of assistant positions, and even been on the EHCS for a while there. I ran afoul of the High Court last year, but I'm still around and kicking. I hope to be the kind of commander you guys are used to, and want to see Viper continue to be a success in whatever it does. 1. New Viper CMDR, me! 2. Viper Squarodn Homepage: The new homepage is up at http://viper.lusankya.org. The site uses a highly modified Squadfirst setup, and so is fully automated and whatnot. Keep checking it for any updates as they happen. 3. I'd like to get updates from all the pilots in the squadron. Please include your recent activity as well as what activities you enjoy in the TC. I'd like to get a handle on what you guys see as fun before I start throwing out competitions. 4. Prepare for the upcoming SC. I've been around the ASF for previous SC's, so I know a bit of what to expect. From what I gather, our WC has decided that we're the ship to win this one, so let's not prove him wrong. :: [ Fleet News ] :: 1. Unless you've been under a rock for the last few weeks, you know that FC/GA Ronin has retired and SA Astatine is in the process of taking over as FC. 2. Joey C and Frodo March have been appointed as COMM and TACT respecitivly, with the resignations of Turtle and Mike. 3. TO Drako has also stepped down this week, so we'll have a new Training Officer sometime in the near future. 4. The position of IO is still open for applications, see the MB's for details. 5.
