STRYKER'S STORY
Lieutanant Colonel Jer Stryker sat in the newly remodeled Tiger's Den, treating his brother and newest Flight Leader to a drink. They were accompanied by the Vanguard's Wing Commander, Major Daisuke Airyu.
"Hey, thanks for the escort help on that last run guys. I don't think the Stryker's Pride would've lasted that pirate attack had it not been for you two," said Jer.
"Heh," said Airyu, "those Spectre guys can be nasty. I'm just glad we all made it out alive."
Commander Carcharoth wandered up to them, "Hey, where have you guys been all week?"
Draiff replied, "Private sector. Jer got a new transport, a YT-2000. Freelancing is now an acceptable profession in the Tie Corps, and everyone's taking advantage of it. Airyu and I have been cruising around with Jer all week, while we save up for our own transports. It's quite lucrative."
"Hmm..." said the biomech, "lucrative, eh? How do I start off in this...freelancing?"
"How else?" said Jer, "IWATS."
COMMANDER'S BRIEFING
- Well it's a new month now which means it's medal time! Congrats to Draiff and noWedge on their ISMs, and to Carcharoth and noWedge for winning the "Return of Hornet Squadron" competitions. I also came in second in "Capture the Flags." I plan on having more "Return of Hornet" competitions this month.
- The wing just finished registering a new IRC channel, #wing_xv. It's a hoot. Make sure you come hang with us there whenever you are online.
- Congrats to CPT Draiff Stryker who has reassumed his former role as Flight 3 leader. Now we have 2 FLs again!
- Free Worlds is really starting to gain momentum within the wing. Our own Draiff and Carcharoth have been greatly involved, and I even helped get Airyu hooked on it. If we get another person or two from the squad involved I'll probably start having some nice Free Worlds based competitions.
- Since you can no longer play XvT or XWA on the Zone, noWedge pointed out a new client that you can use to do matchmaking for games during the Weeks of War. You can download it here. I highly recommend that everyone get it. You never know when my next competition will involve a WoW.
- noWedge has also updated his uniform. I recommend that you all take a look at yours and update it if it's out of date (that's pretty much everyone. Make sure you inlcude the new Hornet Patch. If you're too busy to do it yourself, let me know and I'll be happy to make you a new one for you to upload.
- I will be on leave again next weekend, but I may still get a report out Sunday night like I did today.
