Ahh report time again (actually im late but better late than never :P).***~CMDR's Rant~***
Lots to report so without further stalling, here's the lowdown.

*ECR - Save the Alci!!!!*Trust Mell to come up with an ECR based of booze :P
Yes, its ECR time again. For those who are unfamiliar with the competition, its a yearly (or about) tradition that is not only for awarding the Flagship of the Battlegroup title, but it also means the winning ship gets a truckload of bragging rights.
I remember last time the Challenge won, myself Locke & Chris all got really drunk and launched empty beer bottles at the Colossus. :P
So when we win this year (and win we shall) we'll have some fun >:)
The comp is divided into four parts.
-Flying
-Fiction
-Graphics
-Mission Creation

The WC & COM have made it mandatory that you fly, and i agree.
The only way to win ECR is to pull together as a squadron, wing & ship and work your ass off for the victory.
Currently Sephiroth & Prost are excused due to game issues but i expect the rest of you to fly both missions.
If they are becoming a problem just wack on the in-game cheats and fly.
All Pilot files are due to me, Bubba & Stuart no later than the 4th of November. There will be no extensions so get them in.
Graphics: Pilots are to create a graphic which reflects life in the Cantina of your ship. each submission will receive a score relating to quality, humour (clean humour), and realism to the TIE Corps Battlegroups.
GFX due date: 11/12/04
Fiction: Each pilot is to write a funny cantina story OR to write about the battle to capture the ALCI Thieves. minimum word count is to be 500 and maximum is to be 2500. score will be given to humourous submissions. as well as quality. Spelling and grammar not to be an issue
Fiction due date: 11/19/04
I understand that Graphics and Fiction are not everyones strong points. In fact if have about as much talent in graphics creation as i do in brain surgery.
However i'm just going to open paint and go nuts. Thats all im asking you to do. Show as your mad skillz in MSPaint :P
I would like you to complete at least one graphic or one fiction (feel free to do both) i leave it up to you which.

First week is over with a disappointing amount of submissions. Thankfully however i have been put in my place at least for this week with Daniel beating me by a few thousand points.
He gets a IS-BW for his troubles as well as being able to brag over his victory.

I think it's time the mighty Tempest Squadron had a mighty mascot.

Finally some progress to report. I have managed to get a copy of an older Tempest site off Locke, and now im in the process of upgrading it. I expect to have at least a basic version online by the weekend. So keep an eye open.

If you haven't noticed Tempest is in desperate need of pilots, get out there and ask your friends, your relatives, parents, grandmothers, dogs, i don't care, lets just get some people in here.
I am offering a ISM per recruit (Cadet and RSV's alike) and a PC per 5 recruits, so theres a chance for you to get lots of medals and to help not only the squad but also the wing.
