The Sovereign Battle of the Month is back! And here are the battle assignments:

TIE-TC Battle 215: Colon Wars
XvT-TC Battle 100: Wing X: The Challenge
XWA-TC Battle 38: Wing XI: Human Behavior

For pilots, it represents a monthly opportunity to win an Iron-Star Gold Wings in TIE, XWA and-or XvT. For squadrons and wings, it represents a chance to claim the mantle of SovCOM's Own.

The competition is open to all Sovereign and Omega Squadron pilots. SQUADRON COMMANDERS are responsible for compiling their pilots' results; WING COMMANDERS are responsible for compiling these results from the squadrons and sending me a report, with pilot files zipped attached.

The comp will run from Sept. 8 to Oct. 7.

Medal Guidelines to Keep in Mind

I haven't ever really spoken out about this, but in medal denials, so I'll go on official record with a few points on required items in medal recommendations and other general issues I've noticed lately:

  • All MSE medals MUST include quantatative data, such as battles completed, multiplayer activity, IWATS completed, communications activity, and medals awarded to the pilot in that month.
  • I will no longer approve a MSE medal if it doesn't include the medals awarded to the pilot that month and at least the general purpose of that medal being awarded. I want to cut down on double-awarding. Please note that what I'm specificially looking for are competition medals, web design medals, and things along those lines.
  • Competition numbers must be included with every Iron Star medal recommendations. There are no excepetions to this rule.
  • No merit medal may be awarded for any competition.
  • Commendations of Bravery are to be awarded immediately after a pilot completes 30 missions. Any pilot who does so may request their CMDR to award this medal. This is not out of line, it's just making your CMDR aware that you have completed the required number of missions.

Important note: Send your results to the division coordinators as usual, but ALSO CC: ME AT hullbreach@gmail.com. I haven't heard from the division coordinators for more than a month, so if necessary I will need to compile the Finals results -- and I can't do that unless you send your files to me.

5 XW bug battles updated

For all you old school XW pilots and new XW pilots here are some updates you might be interested in. XWF1 XWIW1 XWIW3 XWIW4 XWIW5 Ender did the fixes for me and most were related to Mission craft not showing up or friendlies firing on craft that need to be captured. Thank ENDER!
