• Well there is some good news and some bad news this week.  The bad news is that in addition to LCM Weeks, LCM Carcharoth has given a notice of "permanent leave" as well, due to Real Life issues.  The good news is that both of them have decided to stay in Hornet after all, but to take up Flight Member positions.

• This kind of brings me to my next point.  I'm saying this to all of you here.  People have the impression that if you can't play XWA or do something once every week or two, you can't be active in the Tie Corps.  This is far from the truth.  The Tie Corps is, above all things, a game, here for your convenience when you are ready to play.  Even though inactivity is not encouraged, it is perfectly acceptable.  All that is required is that you don't disappear (i.e. no contact for 30 days).  It is assumed that you are here because you want to be a part of this, as time permits.  You are not here to serve anyone.  Myself and my superiors are here to serve you, to give you fun stuff to do.  Do not ever think yourself as being unfit for the Tie Corps.

• Now that's probably the last time I'm ever going to say anything like that.  As a Commander, it would be pretty boring if every week I said "everybody chill, this is only a game.  blah blah blah."  That would be out of character.  I just had the idea some of you were taking this too seriously (I do myself sometimes, or else I wouldn't be a CMDR :P )  But really, the Tie Corps is nothing to stress about.

• Now with that said, get to your ships you maggots!  :P

• In other good news, we got lots o' medals this week.  They are listed below in the normal place, and congratulations are due to all of you, medal or no medal, for the great month we had in August.  Also of special note (once again) is LCM Weeks, who received a Bronze Star of the Empire.

• Some of you may have noticed that we haven't had a squadron competition in a while.  I'll think of something soon.  I've been a little busy lately too.  :)
