We
have two competitions starting TODAY!!
1.
Hades Run On
“Operation Bumble Bee”, which will run until the 20th of September.
I will determine the Run On winner with both the Quality and Quantity taken
into consideration with the winner earning an Iron Star w/ Bronze
Ribbon. The Run On will be on the
Hades Message Board http://www.ehnet.org/mb/viewforum.php?f=115. Each post will be worth from 1 to 3
points, winner is the one with most points.
2.
Hades Ascension is a Flying Comp using TIE-TC 200 ‘Ascension’, which
will run for two weeks and end on the 4th of September. The winner will be the highest scorer
according to the BSF and will earn an Iron Star w/ Bronze Wings. :
I
am going to offer a wide variety of comps, participate in the ones you want
and be sure you are having FUN!!
Flight
2 is in need of a Flight Leader. If
you would like the position email me and let me know, I want to get this spot
filled ASAP. I have also posted a
recruitment message on the MB’s.
We
have a new egroup on Yahoo. I have
invited all of you already. Be sure
to join if you have not yet.

SQUADRON MOTTOS AND
NICKNAMES
Please e-mail your squadron commander with your motto and nickname ideas. We
are compiling a list of them all and choosing them at the end of the month.
Just send in your ideas and make sure you specify whether you are submitting
a motto, a nickname or both. You can submit as many ideas as you come up
with.
COL GEN ES'MITH GOES TO OMEGA
COL Gen Es'mith of Aurora Squadron has accepted an invitation to join Omega.
The Colonel has been a very active member of our wing and I am personally
saddened to see him go. Good luck in Omega Gen!
MAJ RYAN CHI'CATH RESIGNS
MAJ Ryan Chi'Cath, Commander of Ares Squadron has stepped down as Commander
and has transferred to the reserves. With him returning to school in the fall
and other real life responsibilities, the Major decided it best to resign and
let someone else lead Ares.
At present, LC Guthwulf is taking applications for Ares Commander.
]]>SSSD Sovereign and TIE Corps News<[
-- Wing and other competitions. There are
some good comps soon to get
under way, including COL Mike's "Survivor: Hutt Guano
Bins" event. Watch
our channels for more word on SHGB. Heh. Not to forget, GN
Stele's
fabulous Summer Patrol is in full swing. Kudos to Stele and
Dweezil for
running one of the best comps in the fleet, if not the best.
-- The Sov Web site has undergone some changes, as some of you
may have
noticed. CM Clegane set up a squadfirst site for me, and
juggled hosting
options, etc. The site is still accessible at http://sov.minos.net. I
still need to flesh out content, and solidify the hosting. But
there it
is. I junked the old site because no one ever liked it, from
what I
heard. Plus, I dropped my personal hosting and domain name, so
that will
save me some jack that I can apply to SWG =) ... As well, the
new site
is easier for me to maintain.
-- Bronze Stars. GN Stele and GN Brian received the Bronze
Star of the
Empire for their excellent service as leaders of Wing II and
Omega
Squadron, respectively.
-- Imperial Alliance. A new EH beta of the FreeSpace2 mod has
been
released by the Science Office. You can find the link on the
Imperial
Alliance MB. It appears we are getting close to the use of
this,
actually, new and fun flight sim with an EH footprint :)
-- Freeworlds. The ISD Predator's opening has resulted in
several Sov
pilots creating legal clones and participating in the EH's
operations in
Freeworlds, the Star Wars mod of Freelancer.
-- Speaking of SW games, beta approaches for SWG:JTL. EHers in
SWG are
racking up faction points and credits for the purchase of
fighters and
other ships in the space MMORPG.
-- Speaking of SWG, I must report a bit of ugliness that had a
small
connection to the Sov. LT Willis, who had been a largely
inactive member
of Psi Squadron in Wing II, was kicked out of the EH PA for
disruptive
actions. He then switched to the Rebel faction (*vomiting
noises*) and
began leading Rebel attacks on our city and harassing us on
the EH and
SWG MBs. I requested his transfer to the Reserves, and an HCI
treason
investigation is under way. The only thing Willis (a.k.a Copa
Veto)
accomplished here was to make the EH PA even stronger.
-- Imperial Storm V, it may start in September.

Operation Bumble Bee

This is a Run On that will be run on the Hades Message Board. The winner will
be chosen by me and will be judged on by both the quantity and quality of the
posts. The winner gets an Iron Star with Bronze Ribbon.
Story: A New Republic Spec-Ops unit has been training insurgents in an EH
border system. Intelligence says they have a Dreadnaught under the command of
Admiral Hague, 3 Modified Corvettes (each with 1 Flight of Fighters), and a
Spec Ops Squadron on the Dreadnaught. They are posing as Mercs and High
Command wants them gone, but we can't just take them out. We need to gain
some Intel first, which means coming in with a cover story and making
contact.
Our cover is that we are a Merc group that has heard their may be work in the
system. Our ships will be loaded on a Nebulon-B Class Frigate, "Crimson
Fury", under the command of our Wing Commander LC Guthwulf.
