STRYKER'S STORY
   Major Jer Stryker sat at his desk, his head resting in his arms.  He was frustrated and exhausted.  In between Summer Patrol and all of the paperwork associated with his position, not to mention keeping after his pilots to fight for their squadron's honor in the ongoing Top Dog offensive, he had barely any time or energy left to participate in the offensive himself.
    There was a metallic knock on the door to Jer's office.  "Come," commanded Stryker.  The door opened to reveal an enhanced destroyer droid.
    "Sub-Lieutenant Drazhar reporting for duty sir."
    Jer saluted the droid, then tossed him a Hornet patch for his uniform.  "Welcome aboard, Sub-Lieutenant.  You've come at just the right time.  We're in need of active pilots for the offensive that's currently going on.  Do you know if your fighter is ready for battle?"
    "Sir, yes it is, Major Stryker."
    "Excellent.  Get into your flight suit and meet the rest of the squadron in the briefing room in ten minutes."

COMMANDER'S BRIEFING

• There are only one and a half weeks left of Top Dog.  Let's make them count.  We are currently in a solid third place, but it's not over yet.  There's still pleny more things to do, and currently we're less than 150 points behind the leader.   If we all work together, we may be able to pull ahead.  After August I promise a nice break for all of us, but for now let's put the pedal to the metal!  If you want a refresher on how many points each activity is worth, check out this page.  Also, here is the scoreboard.

• We have a new pilot among us.  Everyone welcome Lieutenant Drazhar, fresh off the Daedalus! (if you haven't already)

• Due to the fact that I did the last report on Sunday, the activity section looks a little dry this week.  Next week, I expect it to look quite different.

• Once again, don't forget the run-on. (if noWedge hasn't finished it by the time you read this)
