Krayt Squadron - Weekly Squadron Report
Aboard the ASF Flagship -- ISD-II Intrepid

The end of another week...and you know what that means! Another quiet week....but not just in Krayt this time, the whole TC and definitely the ASF, seems to be pretty quiet this week. However we did have a few occasions to make plenty of noise with many MSE medals and promotions coming through! Read on to see what the gift bearing Hobbit bought us this week! General News;

 - SA Astatine is after more submissions for upcoming Newsletters. If you have some GFX/fiction etc, send it to Ast, and dont forget to CC me with it!
 - Last weekend, the TAC released a new 'set' of battles, that now brings the Mission Compendium to over 500 battles! The new battles are: TIE-TC 218, TIE-TC 219, TIE-BHG 3, XW-TC 10, XW-CD 1. If you have these two older games, give them a go and let me know what you think....I still cant get TIE to work!
 - The COO has also publicly announced the need for competition hosts, for when #EHCOC gets X access back and begins to run set competitions again. If your interested in becoming a MP Competition host(scorer), let AD Sarin know. Try and specify a time you can do it also and have a look on the Combat Centre on the TC site to find a specific comp at the time(s) you could host.
 - Another note from the COO, is that there is to be a XWA Skirmish war soon. If you dont know what I mean, the competition will use pre-built skirmish files, which can be found in the simulators within XWA. The COO has got a few downloadable missions on his site at http://combat.tiecorps.net/ if you want to check one out. Apparently our Flags are meant to be choosing a couple of 2 man 'teams' from within the Battlegroups to take part. So this doesn't neccessarily mean any of us will get in, but you can also fly Skirmishes for LoCs....so dont forget, if you want something different in MP...try a Skirmish mission!

 - Another pretty 'light' week in the Squadron, but we outdid ourselves during SC VI, so we deserve a bit of a break. Just dont forget we still have a job to do ;)
 - February MSE medals come through this week! Congrats to LCM Predator who was awarded a Bronze Star of the Empire, LCM Cutter who was awarded a Palpatine Cresent and to CPT SavageAz, LT Sly and LT Crush who were all awarded Imperial Security Medals. I was also awarded a Silver Star of the Empire - a high point in my career...and I have you guys to thank for helping me earn it! Drinks for the weekend are on me! :)
 - Round 1 of SSL 2004 has just finished (about 10 minutes ago) and I have only been able to submit 3 files, XvT and XWA from myself, and an XWA file from LCM Predator. I really would like to see a few more of you guys participate in the rest of the rounds. We finished 12th in XWA and 13th in XvT last year, so I would very much like a repeat performance. All you need do is fly 2 free missions (preferably in Hard difficulty), and you have 2 weeks to fly them in. At the very least, to be competitive, if 3 or 4 of us can participate in XvT and XWA in the remaining 5 'Regular season' rounds....we'd have a very good chance at the top 8, and a place in the 'Playoff's of SSL in a few months time!
