Krayt Squadron - Weekly Squadron Report

Alrighty. Another week, another report. I sincerely apologise for this one being late guys, but I was to tired to do it last night after being out in the sun all day at work, and then having to go to bed early to be up at 5am to start work today (Saturday). :\ So just think, when it was 4pm US-EST yesterday, I was getting up at 5am Saturday morning to work!...Oh what fun! :P Anyway, we've had a very good week this week, although all the activity came from the 'usual suspects'. The standout performance/activity of this week though, without doubt, is LT Predator's phenominal performance in the latest XWA WoW! Not much else I want to spoil by telling you now when it's below in the report....so read on and enjoy another report of a week in Krayt....my 36th report! The big 4-0 is coming...ph33r!! ;)
 
 
General News;

 - The Internet Office has created new messageboards for the EH. To be able to use them, you must have an ELS handle. If you dont, go register and get yours at http://els.minos.net/register.php so you can access the new boards. The boards themselves have also moved back to their old URL of http://www.ehnet.org/mb/index.php. If you have any problems signing up to ELS, jump onto IRC and someone should be able to help you. If anyone has not signed up, please let me know so I can help you out..or get someone else to help. :)
 - XWA WoW LVII finished today with the EH finishing in equal 2nd position! The EH had 15 pilots participate, and had 3 finish in the top 15 overall, with our very own LT Predator finishing 7th, COL Von Reinthaler from Tau finishing 11th, and LC Alex Qarni finishing 14th! LT Kotengu from Tau also managed to rank, and finished in 20th place after 6 games. Well done to all!!!
 - The TAC Office released some new battles this past week: XvT-TC 82-84, XvT-IW 11, XvT-DB 12 and BoP-Free 30. More missions to fly for SC VI!!
 - The XWA:TCC, COL Master is also after some XWA Technicians for work in the TAC Office. Details and pre-reqs are on the TC news page.
 - The position of Wing VIII Wing Commander is now open for apps. Details are on the TC news page....although unfortunately none of us fit the requirements....not like we'd want to leave the ASF anyway huh? ;)
 - Another flag position, this time in the ATF is open. The SSD Avenger is currently hunting down a candidate to become their new COM. The ISD Vanguard, one of our ASF sister ships is also on the hunt for a new COM. Flag positions are open everywhere!
 - After the sudden resignation of AD Krax, TCBGCOM last week....apps were opened and a new BGCOM has since been chosen by FA Cyric. Congratulations to Admiral Mell Kerrigan on becoming the new TCBGCOM!
 - The final piece of news this week is that Commendations of Loyalty were finally announced and are pending 'actual' awarding. Congrats to VA Frodo, CM Arid Foxtrot, MAJ Justin (Viper CMDR) and myself who were awarded them for our wing! The full list of CoL awardees can be found on the TC news page.

 - Still looking for a Flight II FL, is anyone interested within the Squadron? If you are, put your hand up and let me know....I've started to scout around and see if anyone else is interested.
 - This week was a better week activity wise, unfortunately it has still only come from 'regulars'. I do truely hope you guys are just resting up ready for the Supremacy Comp that starts this Monday! Frodo is counting on Krayt (and the rest of the wing) to whoop some butts!
 - On the topic of the SC VI Competition, I've just submitted some new squadron competitions to coincide with the SC. One competition is a FCHG race - split into 2 rounds, 1 for the 1st 2 weeks of the SC VI, and the 2nd for the 2nd two weeks. An IS-BW will be up for grabs each 'round' for the highest FCHG gainer in the squadron. I've also got a fiction competition awaiting approval, which you should get notification of in the next few days. Basically, all you have to do is write a story about a day in the life of Krayt, or a battle involving Krayt or something along those lines no less than 2 pages long (and no more than 6pgs - 10pt Arial), submit it to me and I will judge the best submission at the end of the month. This comp will also double as SC VI activity as any stories I receive (yes you can write more than one!) will be forwarded on to earn points for SC VI. I do hope that this comp in particular is well received, as I know some of you dont have that much (and consistant) computer time, so fiction is something you can knock up in 30mins or so once you get a story in your head. It presents the perfect opportunity for easy activity, so I expect everyone in the squadron to earn at least a few points for the SC VI competition and participate in this competition! I will fwd on full details of both once they are approved. :)
 - Another piece of particular bragging rights this month is LT Predator's activity in XWA WoW LVII. Pred flew 35 matches, winning 28 of them. He finished 6th overall (out of 100 or so pilots) in the comp and also finished 1st in the ASF on player ranking. This will earn him an IS-GW for 1st in ASF, a DFC for most wins in the comp, and 28...yes 28! LoC's! But of particular interest is that with Pred's games, and the measly 2 wins I contributed, we technically beat Tau Squadron! Hows that for something to brag about? :D
 - Oh, and P.S....with Predator kicking so much a$$ in the WoW and the Ladders, and my small contribution, we are all but assured of regaining our WC's Own crown for January, which will be our 6th month in the 8 months since I became CMDR! Hooray for Predator!
