Krayt Squadron - Weekly Squadron Report
Aboard the ASF Flagship -- ISD-II Intrepid

Well, another week of 2004 has passed and it has been a rather tumultuous time in the Squadron this past week. After Arid leaving to command Asp, now Sav has had to go RSV....so we are not only back to 10, but more importantly we have two flights without FLs. I'm getting a bit worried something else will come around soon, seeing bad things normally come in threes...so don't be surprised if something else happens this week! *CF bolts himself down to his Krayt 1-1 position* >:) However, we've had some good news this week also, and that has come in 3 different and completely seperate ways...so there is a happy ending after all!

General News;

 - Flight Office site --- http://flightoffice.minos.net/.

 - The IO is currently running a SquadFirst+ bug search, so if any of you have used it or tried to and have come up with errors, pass them on to the IO staff and they will try and fix all the probs in their latest release.
 - As you should all know, the Internet Office has created new messageboards for the EH. To be able to use them, you must have an ELS handle. If you dont, go register and get yours at http://els.minos.net/register.php so you can access the new boards. The boards themselves have also moved back to their old URL of http://www.ehnet.org/mb/index.php. If you have any problems signing up to ELS, jump onto IRC and someone should be able to help you. If not, email me! :)
 - OPS now has a new website, check it out @ http://www.ehoperations.com.
 - OPS Alex Foley has also called for everyone to start sending in Commendations of Bravery, to coincide with the EH's 9th, yes 9th! birthday that has just past us on January 7th. HAPPY BIRTHDAY EH!! :)
 - The TO's Office is also on the hunt for new IWATS Courses. Currently they are looking more at 'theory/fictional' based ones. Things like Galactic Politics, History, Physics and things like that. If you have an idea for one, draw up and outline and send one in!
 - The IO, being the busy boy he is, also released a new online polling system this week. Check it out at: http://www.ehnet.org/xps/. He's also enacted new guidelines for EH sites with databases on them, to protect the members who use them and their passwords. Yay Ari!!
 - Another in the string of new releases this week is another site, this time for the Combat Operations Office. Check out their new website at http://combat.tiecorps.net/. It includes a new MP Combat Manual, aswell as the normal rules, FAQ's etc and an online place to post games, rather than through a bot.
 - In one last piece of news, our TAC, Fleet Admiral Mike received a Medal of Honour last week in recognition of his career and his time as TAC! Congrats Mikey!

 - Citations Report - no new assignments this week....just fly whatever you want. But if you need/prefer guidance, I have kept the previous Battle assignments below.
 - First thing's first, something bigger than Krayt itself and MSE's etc that happened over the Christmas break has come to my attention. Have I confused you all yet? Well....on December the 12th LT 4patas had a baby! Congrats go out to 4patas, his wife and their new child! Remember 4patas, if your ever up all night with the baby, there's plenty of missions to fly in between putting him/her to bed constantly ;)
 - Secondly, our MSE's come through! Congrats to LT Predator and CPT SavageAz on their shiny new ISM's. Congrats also to me for another Palpatine Cresent :) Lets see if we cant earn a few more MSE's for January!!
 - Commendation of Loyalty recommendations for the Squadron have also gone in, but we'll have to wait until the end of next week to see who gets what. On that note, just to give you all fair warning, I will be away for the weekend again next week. I'll be leaving Saturday afternoon, returning on Monday night, so I wont be gone too long!
 - In a bit of a shock, CPT SavageAz right on the heels of our other Flight Leader leaving to command Asp, requested to be transferred to the reserves. He has accepted a new job, which is in another state, so he has to pack up, move and then settle in and get setup at his new home in Melbourne. He says he will be back, possibly by the end of February. I have asked him to keep me updated on what he's up to, so I'm sure I'll have some news in reports further down the track.
 - Sav's 'retirement' and Arid already having left, leaves us with two Flight Leader positions open. I have spoken to a few members to see if they are interested, and I'm also accepting apps from both within and outside of the squadron.  - We also had another new member join us this week, with LT Rax joining in a whirlwind of MP flying, just about becoming a LT in his first day of assignment. Congrats on your LT promotion Rax. I'm sure we'll see great things from you and we welcome your activity and membership :)
 - I have also been informed that Squall, who has been MIA due to an injury sustained during a paintball game, has healed and should be back flying with us very soon. Hope to see you back soon Squall!
 - Oh oh! I almost forgot! I received my 1st Order of the Vanguard yesterday, for completion of my first very enjoyable year in Krayt, Wing XIV, the ASF, the TC and the Emperor's Hammer! That also means I've been CMDR of this Squadron for 7 months....sheesh time passes quickly! I hope to have just as successful and fun a year this time around, and I hope to share it (and in it) with all of you....my fellow Dragons!!! ;)
