Valkyrie Report # 2 (2004-08-08)

    No fiction this week. My mind is too numbed from Guiness to write at the moment... hopefully one of you will send me something to feature here, otherwise I'll pull out one of my older works.

-=News=-
- Its been a fairly quiet week thus far, but that could have alot to do with that fact that I've been out and running around.
- Admiral Khadgar is on leave until the 10th of August, which leaves Gilad in charge. May God have mercy.
- I will not be starting or organizing any competitions until everyone in the Squadron has reported in to me. I'd like this to be done within the next forty eight hours -- flight leaders especially. Once I have a solid roster of living, breathing pilots, I'll begin my side of the task. At this point, I have several ideas jotted down, and I'd like to see you all fly at least one battle to prove to me that you want to be here.
- Participate in The Aggressor! Create graphics, write columns or articles, fictions, anything. Submit to Khadgar, I believe.
- Fiction! I personally love to read and write... I know Mitim is working on something (I hope he'll send me a little teaser trailer so I can show it off in the WSR next week *Hint hint*), as am I. I'm sure at least someone in the wing is familiar with my Phoenix Squadron saga, and I've begun work on a Valkyrie Squadron version. Please, let me know if you're writing ANYTHING! It counts as activity, and I'd love to show it off in the WSRs!
- If anyone more web-inclined than I would like to create a website for Valkyrie, I would look upon this very favourably... *Hint Hint*
- Report Schedule. I want all Flight Members to report into their Flight Leader by Wednesday evening detailing what they've done in the past week, and what they plan to do in the coming week (Nothing concrete, of course. Just some words of encouragement for us paper pushers, letting us know you ARE interested). Flight Leaders are to report in to me every week by Thursday evening, detailing what THEY'VE done and also what their flight has done in the past week. I'm a staunch supporter of flight competitions, Flight Leaders. Please feel free to run your own, just check with me first.
- Freeworlds. This also counts for activity, but I need all of you who play to keep us all updated with your activity each week. I can't keep track of what you do if you don't contact me, and I don't want any of you missing promotions or medals!
- Chrissy (for those of you not in the know, thats Colonel DarkC) is on leave until September, wherein Commander Tiamat has been chosen as her stand-in Commander until she returns. Welcome to the club. :P

    Another quiet week passes, and I'd like to hear from all of you this week. Those of you who have already reported in (all two of you), thanks for taking the time to do so! I'd like to see you all flying a battle or two this week, as well -- Valkyrie needs to return to the top of the Wing, and take the most active squadron this week. I'll start running competitions and pouring the medals down upon you all once I've heard from everyone... I don't want to have to AWOL anyone, so get to it! If I haven't heard from my Flight Leaders (and if no one can supply an explanation why) by the next WSR, I'll be forced to begin seeking replacements.
    Thats about it, guys. Report in, have a great week, and never forget... "You shanked my Jenga-ship!"
