Hey ALL! Braxus has supplied me with another WSR Fiction Section, so read up.
".... I repeat. This CM Archer of Ravager Squadron. ISD Subjugator, we are under attack by unknown forces. Three pilots are down. Our location is Grid 32b. Send help. We are headed back home while Onslaught covers us. ETA 45 min. Over." Repeated CM Archer as he swung his TIE Advanced into a deep dive
"Sir, this Rav 5. My Scimitar is diabled. Need pick." radioed CPT Braxus
"This is ON 1. Braxus, prepare for docking. I will tow you in myself." unexpectedly replied CM Bryan as he destroyed a Y-wing attempting to cature the Imperial Bomber
Overwhelmed by the new threat, both squadrons fought with courage, but were not equiped for a real space battle. They had just begun a routine exorcise. Their missiles had been replaced by "dummy warheads" and their lasers had been powered down. Only thier quick thinking and imperial training had allowed them to survive as long as they did.
As the Battle raged on over Iridona IV, the ISD Subjugator was preparing for battle.
"It appears that the attacking force might be pirates, hiding behind the planet's gravitational interference." WC Archangel pressed the display button on the ship's Tactical Situation Screen. The internal view of the Star Destroyer was replaced with a 3D representation of the Iridona System.
"The prob we lauched has gathered ship numbers and classifications" continued Archangel
"Humm, Three Covettes and an old Escort Carrier. An entire wing against us" Commented the Ship's Captain, Rear Admiral TK-7764, whom had stayed quite durring the S.O.S. playback a few minutes before. "Is there any possiblity that these might be forces loyal to the Iridona Government, Major?"
"No, sir. Our earlier assessment indicated that the Irodonans are a Class 6 culture, primitive and barly have the knowledge to forge Iron." Archangel replied
"Admiral, both Kraken and Nemesis squadrons are ready to launch, Sir. Our people are getting slaughtered out there. Just give the orders and we will bring them home, sir." Came CPT Darklighter with sense of urgency she hadnt shown in a long time. Beside her, CM Morkan nodded his agreement.
The Commodore turned to his Wing Commander "The Subjugator cant make an in-system jump this close to the planet.we will not be able to enter the engagement unless you bring the battle to us. Major, launch your squadrons. You will personally command this rescue. Good luck and bring our boys home."
Archangel nodded, turned to his CMDRs and smiled "Lets go people!!! we dont have all day."

--CMDR Archer goes on leave until:July 17th at the latest. I need this leave to assess my computers problems and correct them. At this time, I cannot fly SP for XWA. I am going to take it apart to find out what the problem is. I also need some time to get caught up on a few documents and stuff. The EARLIEST I can be back is: July 10th. The latest is July 17th. Braxus is A-CMDR in my leave. Ravager pilots are to report to him. The AWOL Check is STILL ON! Pilots are still emailing me to report in. The Deadline to report in is JULY 8th! So report in! Once I return, I will AWOL pilots where needed.
