SQUADRON NEWS

• Congratulations to Captain Draiff Stryker and Lieutenant Commander Carcharoth on their promotions!  It's so great to have our Flight Leaders function as the role models that they are supposed to be.  We should all try to be like them, and squeeze in that battle, or multiplayer match, or message board post whenever we can.  (Incidentally, both FLs have informed me that they will be on leave for the next couple weeks.  So during that time, we should NOT try to be like them.  :P )

• A hearty "welcome back" goes out to Captain Optimus, one of our beloved Hornet veterans who has returned to us after 11 months in the Reserves.

• This will be the last WSR send out to LTs Orgun and Kwan, as they are officially considered AWOL.  It was pretty cool to have 12 pilots even for a brief time (Orgun would still be on the roster if not for the database crash).  However, despite the fact that we are all here for fun, this is a club and we need to hear from you from time to time if you want to remain in it.  Those of you who cannot do much because of your Real Life circumstances, don't worry, because either you or your shipmates are still keeping me informed of what's going on, and that's all we ask of you.

• As far as the database goes, all missing battles have now been added to your profiles.  Missing Legions of Combat and Medals have been sent up the chain of command and are in process.  We're still waiting to hear on IWATS.

SQUADRON PEP TALK
I know you all have every intention of doing something for the Tie Corps each week, and more often than not it just doesn't happen.  I start out every week with all these ambitions of the things I'm going to do in the TC so I can impress you guys and show you how it's done, but due to RL the best I can often manage is writing this report, responding to your communications, posting on the message boards, and playing maybe 30 minutes of Free Worlds, which doesn't even officially count for activity yet.  But don't worry, because when it comes time to show my stuff I'm good for it, and I know you guys are too.  Keep in contact, stay in practice by fighting a battle or a MP event every couple weeks or so, because this summer there will be some opportunitites for us all to show our stuff.  We will have the opportunity to show this ship that we are not only the biggest squadron on the Vanguard, but we are also the best.  We have some incredible pilots here, and I'm very proud to lead this squadron.  This summer, we will have opportunities to make ourselves proud to be in this squadron, if we work together.  Stay tuned.  That is all for now pilots.  Dismissed!
