• I STILL have not heard anything from a couple of you.  It's VERY important that you at least let me know that you're alive, or else you risk being removed from the roster.  Those of you who informed me a few weeks ago that you are busy with real life, an update would be appreciated.
  

• Our former squadron commander, wing commander, and resident drunkard (just kidding) Drax Remlinger has been appointed the new Commodore of the ISD Vanguard.  Congratulations Draxy!
  

• In case you have not noticed, the Tie Corps database is completely down, but may be back up this weekend.  However, it may come back in a somewhat out-of-date form.  Please bear with everyone while we all work to restore things back to normal.  I have extended our competitions in the mean time.
  

• Our message board continues to get a lot of use.  It's really great to see everyone posting on there.  If you haven't registered yet, you're missing out.

• I am still looking into the problems with the hornet.squadron.org url not working 100% of the time.  Until we get this problem solved, you can get to the squadron site via http://www.minos.net/~jerstryker/squadpage or hornetsquadron.tiecorps.net.

• If you're looking for something to do while we wait for the database to come back up, I encourage you to check out something that is quickly gaining steam in the Emperor's Hammer.  It is a total conversion mod for the game Freelancer called Free Worlds.  Think of it as a Star Wars world online with only ships, trading, and space combat, where your character progresses in wealth and equipment.  To catch up on the buzz, visit this message board thread.  If you have any questions, see me.  I have been playing the mod and enjoying it quite a bit.

• For those of you who have been asking about a run-on, i.e. what it is, when are we starting it, etc., I have found the run-on that we did for ASF:SCV almost a year and a half ago.  You can find it here.  It's quite long, but we all spent about a month or so writing it, and had a lot of fun.  Either myself or Grimlock will start a new one up on the message board within the next week, so keep an eye out.
