• I still have not heard anything from a couple of you.  It's very important that you at least let me know that you're alive, or else you risk being removed from the roster.

• RA Daniel Goad has retired as the Vanguard Commodore.  I expect a new COM will be announced shortly.  I don't know what is to become of our sumbissions for Goad's "Happy Clappy High/Low Score" competition, but I'll let you know as soon as I find out.

• I'm very pleased at how many of you have decided to utilize the message board.  Like I said it's the best way for us to communicate as a squadron.  As promised, there will be a run-on in there soon.

• I would like to encourage everyone who doesn't live out in the middle of nowhere to participate in the next XWA or XvT Week of War, which are starting up soon.  The first step is to register at battlestats.com.  See me or CM noWedge if you have any further questions.

• It's almost halfway through May, and so far nobody has come close to flying 10 battles...don't forget there's an easy medal for the first one who does!

• The hornet.squadron.org url for our website does not seem to be very reliable,  Until we get this problem solved, you can get to the squadron site via http://www.minos.net/~jerstryker/squadpage or hornetsquadron.tiecorps.net.

• Starting this week I will be naming a "Pilot of the Week" to whoever flies the most.  However, since nobody has flown more than a single battle I have decided not to name anybody this week.  :(
