Greetings Praetorians

Welcome to my first report as Praetorian Commander, dating 25.04.2004, wich is also my very first report as a TC CMDR ever. Since I never written a TC report before I have to improvise a bit and copy the style from my DB reports. If I somehow should miss something important for a TC report please tell me.

News:

The biggest news probably this week and the reason why I'M writing this report here is that the SDIR and the FO somehow thought for some reason I would make a good Praetorian CMDR. So here I am chewing my nails thinking of the tasks and challenges ahead :P I have to admit I wasn't nearly as nervous when I became DGM in the DB :P

Praetorian also has a new XO. After my appointment this spot became vacan, so as my first action as CMDR I appointed a new one. As some of you probably already knew and others might have guessed it, it´s Major Abel Malik. Congrats Malik, well deserved ! :) We alreday had our first brainstorming session and I already know that we will be a great XO for me.

In other news I have requested a new Praetorian boards on the EHMBs. It´s already approved and created. You can find it under the following link: http://www.ehnet.org/mb/viewforum.php?f=112 I will use it primarily for public squadron anouncements and for possiblie comps. But of course you can use it for anything else you think it useful :P

Also the FO asked me to put together information about election criterias and the recruitment process itself for Praetorian. Malik and I already came up with a first draft for it and I already got feedback about it from the FO. Once everything is finalized and agreed on I will present you all the new system.

Furthermore I have changed the motto. Before you start screaming it´s not the motto itself just the translation :P When i went through my new admin options I noticed the squadron settings and saw the motto and it´s translation. Since I had Latin in school and graduated in it I felt the need to rectify it :P So the tranlation now isn´t anymore "Everywhere, that Right and Glory lead" but "Where ever Right and Glory lead" which is much closer to the latin original.

Last but not least: The former Prae CMDR, Ice , became the new Wing XVIII commander, good luck to him in his new position he wil need it :P But he is a Praetorian so he will show those ATFers how things are done for sure :P

Activity:

Since I only get notifications about BSF and other stuff for two days now, my notes for the last week are everything but complete. It also could be that it overlaps with things mentioned in Ice's last report.
What I gathered from mails, BSFs and talks it was a rather slow week especially for the SSL. So far I have only the XWA submission from Deimos, but I know a lot of people here are last minute flyers, so I´m not really worried (yet) :P I have to admit I haven´t flown them myself yet, so I really can´t complain you haven´t flown them either.

This concludes my first Praetorian report. I hope I didn´t forget anything important. Next week you will get probably a longer and more detailed report since I have the material from a full week and not only from two days.
