Tempest Squadron Weekly Report #14 – 13th of May 2005


***~Introductory Note~***

This week’s report starts with quite a little to report. Nothing of great importance happened this week, and also we had a drop on activity. That’s normal considering a lot of competitions ended at the end of April, but we should be back on track in the next few weeks, I hope.

Tempest Tie Fighter Tactics Workshop has begun....I believe two of our pilots, Mike and Haedaliel, have been “assigned” a mission, Tie-Free 244, and will be flying it sometime soon. I think you all should get into this. As a squadron, we are a team, and we should be helping each other, in order to improve our skills to make good participations in the competitions our squadron or the Wing/Ship gets into. I’ll do this only in Tie Fighter, because that’s what I’m capable of, but I realize it should be done on other things, like tactics and fiction.....but I suck at those, so I can’t tutor them....If some of you are good at it, talk to me, and I’ll help you organize a tutoring thing on that. Well, going back to Tie Fighter, I’ll attach Tie-Free 244 to this report, for everyone to fly....Don’t forget to write a paragraph telling how you managed to complete the mission (it’s quite simple to do this).....I’m expecting tfr’s!!!

***~Squadron News~***

* Tempest Tie Fighter Tactics Workshop has started. You can fly Tie-Free 244 and write your tactics....If you’d like to fly another mission....just do so, and we’ll talk.

* Squadron Standing Orders: every week I want you to do one of the following:
- Fly something from the Mission Compendium
- Participate on Tempest Tie Fighter Tactics Workshop
- Take an IWATS Course
- Write some fiction
- Create a graphic
- Submit something for the Squadron Report (Fiction, graphics, garbage, etc)

* Recruitment
Well, this is back on track now.....
If you haven't noticed Tempest is in desperate need of pilots, get out there and ask your friends, your relatives, parents, grandmothers, dogs, I don't care, let’s just get some people in here.
I am offering an ISM per recruit (Cadet and RSV's alike) and a PC per 5 recruits, so there’s a chance for you to get lots of medals and to help not only the squad but also the wing.

* Pick a Free mission you want to fly, and tell me if you want help with it’s tactics
* Fly a FREE mission......or a battle if you dare
* Take an IWATS course
* Participate on every competition that is released

* Don’t forget about Wing X’s Sunday meetings, at #wing_x, at 06:00pm EST (GMT -5:00). Trivia is going on, show up if you can!!!

* Lot’s of flying last month, over 1000 missions flown by Tempest pilots.....if you flew a single mission whatsoever, congrats!!!! You’re part of that number!!!

* Wing X is now the largest Wing in the fleet!!!! That’s great, but Tempest has only 7 pilots...I want new recruits.
