Tempest Squadron Weekly Report #12 – 29th of April 2005


***~Introductory Note~***

Good night to everyone! Time for Tempest Weekly report!!!

I’m very sad to inform what was already expected by all the squadron.....SL Ozkan Ata has been declared AWOL, and therefore Tempest has now only seven members.....this drives me crazy, specially because Tempest Recruiting Comp is coming to an end this weekend, with absolutely NONE new recruits to the squadron......But I’m glad to inform that, nonetheless, I’ll be still awarding people for recruiting. We’ll talk more about that next week...

Tempest Top Gun is coming to an end. So far I’ve only received one tfr for last week......people who can fly, I’m expecting your tfrs as soon as possible. Participation in this comp was vry good, but I was disappointed about week 3’s participation. As it’s the last week, I’ll announce the results only on Sunday, so, any tfr that comes to my inbox until then will be gladly accepted. Go fly people, it’s only a Free-mission. I’m attaching the mission one more time for your confort....


***~Squadron News~***

* Tempest Top Gun is ending.....Overall, I’m happy with participation, although it’s declining this last weeks....But I’m counting on the rest of you to fly until this weekend’s end....The competition is still very hard. Last week, Impulse beat Rover by only sixteen points..... First three weeks was won by LCM Impulse who took three IS-BW for the victories...Let’s see who wins last week. Overall first place is still on the open.....so, we still have two IS-BW’s pending ownership :)

* Tempest Recruiting Comp
Last weekend and still no submissions....go bug an old friend who is in the RSV’s!!!

* SL Ozkan Ata was declared AWOL.....she was a recruit of mine, I hope she comes back someday....

* Squadron Standing Orders: every week i want you to do one of the following:
- Fly something from the Mission Compendium
- Take an IWATS Course
- Write some fiction
- Create a graphic
- Submit something for the Squadron Report (Fiction, graphics, garbage, etc)

If you haven't noticed Tempest is in desperate need of pilots, get out there and ask your friends, your relatives, parents, grandmothers, dogs, I don't care, lets just get some people in here. I am offering an ISM per recruit (Cadet and RSV's alike) and a PC per 5 recruits, so there’s a chance for you to get lots of medals and to help not only the squad but also the wing.)

* Tempest Recruiting Comp

It’s a pretty simple comp: it starts march 1st, and it runs for two months.
For every two recruits that goes to the wing, you receive an IS-BR (I want copies of the e-mails when you have first contacted the recruit).
For every recruit that comes to Tempest, you receive an IS-BR The person who has recruited the most in the first month receives na IS-BR, and the Second Month too, so, there are a lot of medal opportunities.
The recruits can come either from the PLT Daedalus, or from FRG Phoenix, this means, CDT’s and RSV’s.
As you can see, this competition is a long term thing for us to fill all the positions available in the squadron, and to help where we can in the wing...
I would like everyone to participate....Just contact people in Daedalus offering help, or contact an old friend in the reserves, and try to get them in here....It’s best for everyone when we have a full house.

* Tempest Top Gun

It runs through the month of April, with a free mission to be flown per week. Every week top scorer is to be awarded an IS-BW. Combined top scorer for all the free missions will be awarded another IS-BW. Fourth week’s mission is Tie-Free 190. Mission current highscore is 294,760, laserless. Tfr’s are due next Sunday. Get to it!!!! Results for last week’s mission will be announced then.

* Wing X “I have too much free time” comp
Three week long FCHG race. It ends at the end of April. Whomever flies the most will be awarded an IS-SW. Second place gets an IS-BW. Go for it!!!! Impulse is currently fourth place and I’m nine, both of us with little chance of achieving victory.....
