• Apparently, the EH is at risk of being kicked out of the Imperial faction in Free Worlds due to our "inactivity."  Our FW commanders (Pri, Vlad, etc.) have said this claim is hollow, and said we are no more "inactive" than most other IN- characters.  I agree with this.  However, as a precaution, they have stated that no EHer is allowed to fly under both an "EH-" tag and an "IN-" tag, and you have one week to choose which you prefer.  As I believe that everyone in Hornet only has EH tags, this should be an easy choice for us.  :)

• On a related matter, to help boost our "low" (cough) activity, I will be hosting a squadron-wide mission race, beginning immediately and ending on April 15.  Whoever flies the most missions in Free Worlds (all of your EH characters combined) during this two week period shall be awarded an Iron Star:  Bronze Wings.  The competition is still pending, as I have not yet submitted it, and in fact just now came up with it.

• One of the advantages of Free Worlds, other than the cooperative play, is that you can log in, fly a mission or two, and log out, way faster than you can do such a thing in XvT or XWA.  So even though there may not be anyone else in the squad online at the moment for you to play with, it's still a really great way to be active by just doing a mission or two in a short time.  You'd be surprised how quickly they add up.

• If you don't have an EH-Argosy or EH-Rapax squadron character in Free Worlds yet, please email Pri to ask for one.  These are trader characters, and the more of these the EH has, the more "uber" ships (like tie defenders, gunboats, chiss fighters, etc.) we are allowed to distribute among our players.

• Jori found a really cool Star Wars mod for Home World 2, and it's generating a bit of a buzz on the forums.  Okay, I found it, but Jori's the one who's really promoting it.  If I had HW2 (or could find a friggin copy somewhere) I'd have been playing this mod all week.

• Grimlock and I have often talked about compiling a history of the squadron, and now it appears as if Rear Admiral Yellek will require it of all squadrons, in competition form!  So if you have any Hornet memorabalia archived on your hard drive anywhere, be sure to pass it along to me or Grimlock so we can put something together.

• The COMM has started the first run-on competition for which the new Medal of Communication will be awarded.  It's called "Baptism of Fire."  This is an area we're all experienced in, so be sure to participate!
