CMDR's Thoughts
Greetings Vipers, again a week has passed and again Viper has grown in strength and will grow soon. Our BGCOM Darksaber has managed that an old veteran will come back to active duty on the Intrepid and especially in Viper. That would mean we are back at halfstrength =).Activity has risen in the last week, but I want to see some from pilots who were a bit lazy. I managed to play several matches at the XvT WoW (WoW means Week of War and is a competition which is running at the zone including several clans) and it has been my most successful WoW =)
By the way, the XWA WoW starts today at 2pm EST and will last one week. If you are interested and don't know how to do it, just ask me.
Wil has send out a report this morning and if you read it you probably know that I will step down as Viper Commander in about 10 days.
I'm sorry for that, especially for the new guys in Viper, but I have made up my mind and hope that you will get a nice Commander which will lead you to glory.
We had good times and bad times in Viper and it seems like now a really good one is starting.
Ok, I just wanted to announce that so you are not surprised, but I will stay for some more days and even when I'm not Commander anymore, you can always ask me about Multiplaying(or other stuff, but I think I can help best in MP questions).
I want to remind each of you that today is the last day to get some points for the Viper Top Ace comp. The MP part is pretty clear, but the SP part isn't decided yet. Only I have flown the assigned battle (XWA TC#33) and you only need to beat my score to win this part and get a shiny medal. I accept pilot files until 12.00am EST.
This is the last Viper Top Ace comp under my command so participate! I haven't set up another one for march, because there are alot of wing competitions where you can win shinier medals and on which you should concentrate.
I just got email confirmation that SL Birch Sullivan has been promoted to full Lieutenant! Congrats Sully, go on like this!

EH Squadron Wars are still on. It's a BSC hosted comp so you need a BSC account to participate. As long as its on you can fly any person outside your squadron(who has a BSC account) at any time!! Just report the match at BSC. Medals will be awarded when the comp is over(it ends today 2pm EST)

* Older TIE'95 patches updated, Clk/F released for XvT
AD Ender mBind has updated the older patches for TIE95 to add amongst others custom OPTs (The craft now actually look like they supposed to) and custom names in-flight. This has been done already to the A-9 Vigilance, Cloakshaped Fighter, TIE Dragon, TIE Phantom Mk.2 and TIE Scimitar, the TIE-IW patches will be next.
Besides these, he has also released the new Cloakshaped Fighter patch for XvT. :)
* SquadFirst Project Released!
The Internet Office is pleased to announce the release of the SquadFirst Squadron Homepage Template, coded by our very own Alex Foley. After a little bit of delay, we've finally worked out all the bugs (we think) and you can now download the package, complete with full instructions at http://squadfirst.minos.net.
